AMV Magic Tournament

Postby Jadecavy » Tue Jul 10, 2012 8:22 pm

Just wondering how much interest there'd be in a small workstation magic tournament once M13 is released, either standard or modern. If there are around 7 others with interest, we could do a mini-tournament, and if there are only around 5 we could do something more round-robin... Post in here if you're interested, I think it'd be fun. Can do other formats if people would prefer.

This sounds like it would be fun. I'd be up for it. :)

Thought so, now let's see if we can get enough interest from others. I know a few that play, perhaps we have some other closet players? :)

I'm not sure how this would work. Is there some online equivalent like with duel network? I know there's the 360 version...

Well, if I can, I'd like to join in. Although I suck. O_O

The closest free one is Workstation. I'd put the players into a bracket on challonge and it'd give us the playsets.

Only if you spend money on it. :awesome: :ying:

I prefer the old school Microprose version over all. 8-)

AMV Magic Tournament

I'd have to check this workstation out. But perhaps. Then again, I'm way behind on the rules since I havent really played since the Urza block.

Would people be willing to do legacy? Seems like some people haven't played in a long time so we can't really do standard.

I have no idea what I'd be doing in Legacy. I could probably make a deck with every type of Fog ever made though.

Well, it'd just be for fun, you could play your standard deck. That'd probably be what I'd do.

I just know there have been a lot of changes to the rules since I got out. I never really played any special format of deck really, so Standard and Legacy mean little to me. I just bought cards and played with my friends.

The biggest things I've heard that have changed is the removal of the Stack and Mana Burn, both of which would change how I play dramatically...
