ANN wrote:The "Hyakunin Isshu" are an anthology of one hundred poems found in a trational Japanese card game called Karuta. Presented by the person who selected the writings, Fujiwara no Teika, this is a glimpse into the origin of some of them. Since the majority of them are love compositions, the focus remains on romance in ancient Japan.

Coming after Chihayafuru, this might get some attention. Otherwise this might very well be the underdog of the season, one of those cool shows that nobody watches. I see potential, it can be nice. |:>

I loved the first part from the start till the end. And when I learned that it was Chihayaburu kamiyo mo kikazu... poem I just rejoice. I like this show.. it's really warm and nice.
I'm gonna miss Narihira-dono

If you're hasitent to watch it.. at least watch the first ep people... it's even kinda funny

Haven;t seen it yet but if they are in the present time and not in like 1000 AD then I will probably watch given Chihayafuru was pretty amazing.

well, they aren't in present. The serie itself explains the history behind every one of the 100 poems.

I wonder how many eps this will have, probably only 13 but it has potential of 50 since it looks like every poem will take 20 pages of manga / 10 minutes of anime

Another beautiful episode. I prefer these in which the story is the whole episode :)

Aww man, now that this is over I feel kinda empty inside. This show was definitely in my top 3 of this season. It just always composed this warm and fuzzy feeling inside of me. <3
