I change my desktop like every other week whenever I see something I like, here is one of my favorites, although It only stayed up for about a week cause friends kept on asking who she was and I was like

This is literally the only cosplay pic I've ever saved on my desktop, just because it's so perfectly done
Currently using this one, although I really wish they had one with a bigger resolution

Was changing wallpapers and realized I didn't have any of this band, nor was a google search being productive, so I went about making one.

Most of the screenshots posted around here seem to be the default appearance of Vista or Win7, with notable exceptions like the above, but:

Patching uxtheme.dll so that you're not limited to the stock Microsoft-provided themes is the way I did it for the Windows screenshots.

The Ubuntu screenshots are usually just the stock appearance of LXDE, with Conky running to display the stats 'window' that's pinned to the desktop, and Compton, which provides the drop-shadows and fade effects on the windows and menus. Occasionally I'll show Unity, which has been the default environment for Ubuntu since version 11.04. I've not been crazy about it (I prefer my traditional desktops and GNOME 2/Maté if I want something that heavy on resources), but I've grown to tolerate Unity as it's gotten more mature. I still mostly use LXDE, though.

The wallpapers themselves I just grab off of Konachan or one of the *booru sites.
