Brakus wrote:Oh yeah, the prescreenings: they were a lot more enjoyable this year than last year. Most of it was thanks to Vic rearranging the categories a little bit, with comedy going last. And by God, what has happened to comedy? I only saw about 4 videos in Comedy that had a decent shot of competing; the rest just missed the mark completely or somehow mis-categorized their video.

Wow, that kind of year again, huh? Feeling a tad apprehensive now.

Comedy is the hardest genre of video to edit for most people, I think. Humor is just so subjective, and it's difficult to get right. The comedy category always seems to be the one with the fewest submissions in any given contest, my own included.

Hey, I went 2001 on people with a Tenacious D song. We can rock the turn of the millennium all together with semi-trolling decade old music |:> |:>

If it's the same video you sent to my contest, it definitely made me laugh. :)

Great. I'm in comedy.

Mixed feelings on this. Crossing my fingers that mine was one of the good ones.

Has it been mentioned anywhere when the finalists will be announced?

Nervous as hell about my video, hoping the prescreeners didn't find it too 'out there'. It's by far the most abstract thing I've ever done and that's the only thing that really makes me nervous.

As for comedy, I think I'll take my shot at it next year. Why the hell not, after all.

 Comedy is gonna be like the most entries next year thanks to what has been said about it for this year, lol...

I entered comedy this year. Not a surprise -- I enter comedy every year XD It's the only category that supports my mad cap brand of insanity. I hope it was found amusing. Now I am getting antsy to see the finalists haha.

I know it's been a long time since the last time I even made an AMV, so my comedy might be a little out there. Just threw mine together to see if I still got it. Whether or not it makes the cut, doesn't really matter to me. All in all, good luck to everyone in comedy.

Think next year I'll finally do something different for a change. Been wanting to do this big action video for awhile for Shinedown's Diamond Eyes.
