Talking about Inspiration

Post by TritioAFB » Wed Jun 20, 2012 8:54 pm

Remembering back at 2002 when I first made a video, I remembered I had those old times when CN had decent shows, and this... groovys. The first time I watched them I was amazed by the fact of How a Cartoon could mix with others. Perhaps that's the reason why I prefer the 'Crossover' style

Let's talk about the videos non-amvs that inspired you to make amvs |:>

hmm... I can't think of anything specific, but I know if I'm watching a good action movie, and there's really good choreography, that can be inspirational; especially when there's good music. Hell, I've even been known to rock out to TV commercials 8-)

Anything dance related like America's Best Dance Crew and what not. I watch those a lot and search youtube for all kinds of choreography. I think it helps give you a sense of sync, and how body movement plays into it.
Also commercials and how the well made ones are designed to keep your eye engaged and focused on specific things for a concentrated duration.

Hmm, I can't really say that anything else inspired me since I too have started to edit amvs because I watched amvs and I liked them... I never really cared about sync... to hell with beat sync I was satisfied if someone just put a music to the actual footage.. well, I watched action amvs so... :)

If I were to speak about non-amv things that inspire me now then it would be mostly movie trailers since I don't really watch tv so I don't encounter music videos and such.

Hmm in the beginning watching other AMVs inspired me to make some of my own.

Now its the music and if while I am listening to it an idea forms. Then I repeat the music over again a few hundred times till I got my whole story down in my head =3

Actually when I first saw amvs I had a friend who told me he could see me being pretty good at this hobby and I told him "naw.. I doubt it"... I had similar reactions to Little Big Planet.

I still remember when I was always wtaching all those groovies in the TV, and I was like: It's possible to make something similar? how can I do it?

I wished younger people could get interested in this hobby :o
