Delicate Mystery

Postby Centurione » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:08 am

Yaaay, again, I'm looking for some epic music!

I really really need something serious, mysterious and delicate^^.

I've only found one piece so far that somehow fits the mood

Journeyman But acctually only some parts like 0:24-0:58 and the one that starts at 1:48. Bells or something.
Harry Potter main theme has pretty much the mood I'm thinking of but it's too... innocent? Hard to explain.

I would be grateful if you had something in mind and shared it with me :dino:

You're lumping that Journeyman tune to the same category with the HP theme? :uhoh: I don't really have any idea what you're looking for but, what the heck, I'll give it a try.

I can't exaclty explain what I'm looking for. HP is too light, Journeyman is too weird and too irregular, I'd say. Omggg, I'm not the best person on earth to describe music

'Psychopath' fits the most what I'm looking for but it's too obviously horror-like. And too dubstep.
When I think of music I want it's blue, beautiful and dangerous but discreet.

I'll love the person who understands me forever and ever

Thank you <3

Sounds like you're the type of a person to describe music by the mood and emotions it delivers, no? It's just that the criteria you're giving is too subjective for others to really grasp it. "Delicate mystery" is kinda too open for interpretation. Perhaps it would be easier if you could say for example the type of genre or instruments you're looking for? With lyrics or not? etc.

Okay, I'll try to describe what I'm looking for the best I can.

No lyrics, that's for sure. Some vocalizations are ok unless there's no clear lyrics.

Something slow, but intense. Slow beat, low tunes, bass.
If we're talking about instruments, that would be piano, strings, harp, bells, bells, bells. Music box-like sounds are good, pretty essential actually.

If we're talking about genres it should be something between classic/film music and dubstep. More like something between, not mixed. Or one of the genres separately.

And as before, the mood: something beautiful, dangerous, mysterious, delicate and... blue!

That's pretty much all criteria I can think of  .

@Lloyd, both of the tracks you suggested are too dubstep and too obvious (if you know what I mean^^). Thank you anyway!

When something rings in my head and I'll find some more specific criteria, I'll update.

Thank you both <3

Do you really want instrumental music?
'Cause I've got this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgQ3j7Mv5a0 and I'm pretty sure that suits the atmosphere you're looking for :3
It's actually the song I wanted to use for an AMV but I don't think I'll do it >_>

Nah, it's not that, it's not dark, no mystery and danger, no bells, no music boxes, too fast and... orange :D
Actually it's something totally different.

Dark! dark is a good word to somehow fill the description.

This one fits much more but it's too light and not intense^^

I know I'm beeing very fussy right now, sorry and thanks once again!

Honestly, I need to think of combining and editing HP music somehow once again.

Still not^^. It's so fast and light. But the slow part starting at 1:37 is closer.
Tommy's Theme has some of the mood. But! It's too obviously violent and too unnatural (I'd like to avoid samples like these starting from 1:05). And it's not beautiful. It even is dark blue but it's too obviously violent and dangerous while I need something soft, delicate and, you know, long, powerful sounds.

I'm not in hurry at least :D

Thanks, much more informative! :D

You might want to check out The Ring soundtrack. There are some tracks, which might fit your criteria:

Heeeeeeeeeeeeey! This is almost exactly what I'm thinking of :D !

I'll try to combine "She Never Sleeps" with "Television" as not the whole pieces, but parts fit almost perfectly. Thanks once again! <3

But if something comes to your heads still would be awesome. Maybe there is a totally perfect track that I'm looking for

If you're still in for this, I would suggest the whole "Third" album from Portishead.

For example, this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-oZyAKiWsc
