To get any decent performance of your ssd
Re install windows on ACHII mode if you haven't already.
The standard option for SSD installs bottle necks the read and write speeds.
You are only getting about 75% of its actual speed.

Frankly I'm kinda puzzled as to why all SATA controllers arn't set to AHCI by default. I recently built an HTPC using a Zotac AD02, only after installing windows did I see that the BIOS had it set to IDE mode. Not a big deal for a 5400rpm drive, but it still seems dumb that that's not the default setting in the year 2012.

Top view. I've had this for a while, just never posted :P
Acer TM8172 4758 - i5-540UM (Ultra Mobile) @ 1.20GHz, 4GB, 64-bit Win7. I swapped in a 120GB SSD too.
Weak, but reasonable CPU/battery trade-off. (If I need to render something big, I'll do that on another computer.)
I mostly like having an 11.6" for portability; and just hook it up to the external monitor = 21" @1080p
I also unhooked the stand so the monitor is flush with the desk; which I find to be easier on the eyes. And so it would fit >.>
Fender Squier. I like hanging stuff. Saves space. The cheap USB-Guitar link is all I need, really.
Source Footage. Weight Ball. DIY Helical Wi-fi antenna. A *good* hole punch. Some old AMV trophies up top too.

Hard to take a picture of it since I'm in the corner of the room.
Am I the only person that has only one screen and it feels totally enough?^^

I got this last year.
HANNS G 21" 1920 x 1080 display
HP with i7 CPU 960 @3.2 Ghz
12 GB RAM
2 TB 5400/7200 rpm (can't remember)
NVIDIA GTForce 440
I'll be hooking this up to my 40" Sharp TV as well and use it as a preview screen probably. I'm tempted to upgrade my RAM however. Only recently started experiencing longer preview times with 1080p footage.
