I really enjoyed reading this interview... it's inspiring and makes me want to edit like, right now
While it's sad to see such a talented person leave the community, you've got to pursue your passions. Editing is an immensely time-consuming activity, and balancing it with your other interests can be quite difficult; speaking personally, I've got a towering stack of books, games, movies, etc. that are still shrink-wrapped and waiting for me to get to them. I've resigned myself to the fact that I probably will never be able to experience all of them. You have to choose how to spend your time wisely.

what do you mean? I'm also a non-native speaker and I got everythingMimS wrote:Interesting read, a bit complicated for a non-native English speaker like me lol
Interesting. Perhaps we haven't talked yet but you were the first editor I faced into the finals of an amv contest. Trial by Drowning was just an elegant video

Sad to see you go, Pink Haze, but glad you found something you really like to do. =3
Good read. You are and always will be one of my favorite editors.

Gaaah, Im kind of considering taking an extended break/retiring from AMVs to follow other goals and I wish people like you and Castor would stop reminding me of that B|
In all seriousness, great read! Hope the manga is going well, considering what you made with other people's sources, an all-original creation from PinkHaze should be pretty awesome~

I was really looking forward to a new Pink Haze AMV, but I wish you the best of luck with whatever path you choose to pursue. Dead Moon Masquerade will always be one of my favorites

While I don't really understand the concept of "retiring" from a hobby like this, I wanted to thank you for the way you're doing it. Every time someone retires, they seem to want to use it to take a dig at everyone who is still editing, belittle the hobby in some way, or remind us every 5 seconds that they retired and are "done with that crap". Especially after reading your journal, yours is more "As much as I love this, I need to focus on other things." and I appreciate that love.
I'll miss your videos, Pink Haze, but your artwork looks amazing. If I could do that, I'd probably focus on that, too.
And as always,
FCK YEAH, PINK!

You're a very talented person. "Retiring" or not, I am always sad when talented editors leave the hobby, but if they do it to channel their creativity elsewhere, I have no qualms. No drama and no waste of talent is a great thing in my book - good luck with the manga!

awesome read
I love editors that concetrate on the story telling / concept while using great looking sources. Also, the reference advises were really great.
