Deinterlace .MTS files? (AVCHD)

Post by Drageer » Sun Apr 15, 2012 10:02 pm

I've had a Sony Handycam HDR-CX160 laying around for abour a year and today i decided to use it to take a quick video of some wildlife. I've taken the footage off of it and it came put in AVCHD format with the file extension .mts. I was looking at the footage and noticed it was interlaced (says upper field first in vegas if that is any help) and I am now wondering what the best way to deinterlace it would be. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Treat it like any other transport stream. Check the codec (MPEG-2 or AVC) and use the appropriate DG*crapware filter in avisynth.
