My entry for AMV-France online contest, I'm surprised and happy that I won Best Drama |:> . I started this AMV along with ¨EVOL¨ , but because of the little time I had I couldn't make it to the deadline, so I decided to drop it, but then I saw that Kain gave us one more week to finish our amvs, so I finished it in about two days xD. And btw ¨Espejismo¨means mirage in english.

Hope you like it :awesome:

I definitely think there were flaws in how some of the effects were used as transitions. I feel some of them, particularly at :18:/19, were a bit too rough, and that's mainly due to the length of them, rather than the effect itself; the effect/transitions were very short, and I notice how the shorter a transition, the choppier it looks, if it isn't placed right. So it was more that, rather than the actual look of the transition, if you know what I mean :?
However, some perfect examples of a flawless transition/effect were at 1:05 and 1:22. Those were my two favorite parts in the video, lol. 1:29-1:32 I also really liked.

In addition to this, I think there were too many crossfades and a lot of them, if you must use them, were too short as well.

And lastly, I wasn't a big fan of the text. I liked the typography part I suppose, but I don't know if it was just the font or what, but I wasn't crazy about it, but nor did I really hate it.

However, I wasn't bothered too much by any of this. The best part of this video is the atmosphere/mood, and upon first watching it, I enjoyed it. I also appreciate what effects you chose to use (mainly the static as the central effect in the video). They were wisely chosen to match the song, but also not to drag down the atmosphere. I respect those who can do that well, since I always have issues with it >>

As an editor, I did go back and watch it again though, just to get more nitpicky with the technical aspects of the video. But in terms of just plain enjoyment as a viewer, I was pleased. If I were editing it, I would do more with the parts that I mentioned, but since I'm just spectating, I'm not too bothered, and I don't think the issues are that distracting in the first place. So even though it seems like I talked a lot about the iffy parts, as an overall video, it wasn't bad at all. Nicely done :)

That explains the text effects. :P
Anyway this was really nice. Like I mentioned on Youtube already, your distortion effects are awesome <3 I dunno how to describe it but you always have a way of integrating them so well into your videos it's like it's part of the anime footage itself.

Also I liked how you used the scene of him writhing on the floor in pain but cut out the stabbing part. Cause while I'm not entirely sure how he ended up on the floor then in the hospital, at least in my mind I didn't have to think, "Uh oh, here comes the moment where he gets stabbed by a random stranger for no reason. :uhoh: "

Which is nice. Because I am so tired of seeing poor Kyon stabbed and bleeding to death. :(

Sorry but... gotta tell you I thought it was kinda mediocre. One should get suspicious if every amv edited with this movie looks good. I don't know if I should credit you or the animation :amv: I did like some of the transitions and effects but I kinda wish you would have gone crazy with it, syncing all the smallest sound effects in the song, because as it is right now it doesn't quite have anything outstanding about it. I'm also not sure if I liked the texts (But that's my bias. I rarely like text in amvs.) Nice atmosphere though!
