Video Editing Software beta

Post by zeblian » Tue Mar 13, 2012 5:42 pm

I am currently working on video editing software. Would I be able to find people on this forum to test it?

@TEKnician Both. It is a web based editor with a Java based rendering server. I am currently in the alpha stage and looking for interest from video editing communities to help test.

This just sounds… terrible? I'm sure you've put a lot of effort and time into it but the entire idea is flawed from the concept...

It might sound terrible, but if you think about it this idea has some serious potential for newbie amv makers who dont have a computer capable of editing video.

I for one would love to help out with the beta testing

This is where I point out that people who don't have a computer capable of editing video also don't have a computer capable of running a web-based editor, in case you didn't figure that out yourself.

 :| that pretty much sums it up.

I've been confused for too long...can we get a basic concept at least? Like HOW IN THE F*** ARE WE GONNA GET OUR FOOTAGE INTO THAT EDITOR? Surely you don't expect us to load gigabytes of raws to some random site that can easily share it to other sites. Still no word form original threader since March. Just letting you know now, I'm not going to avidly use it, but ill be more than happy to test it.

You would normally be right if it is just a web based editor, it could also be made into a cloud based video editor in which case the computers that does the heavy lifting is maintained elsewhere so that the user just needs an internet connection capable of running say onlive, or Netflix
