Anime suggestions ?
Well - been looking just a little bit for a good series to watch .
To clarify , I'm absolutely in love with swordplay animes [ Mostly what I'm looking for . ] . I just watched Sword of the Stranger and I freaking - I can't explain how much I loved it .
I'm looking for either movie or series , though movies are a little bit more preferred . . either way , all suggestions are welcome !

Sengoku Basara is a great series with lots of sword fighting and Edo-period stuff. Of course, its not as realistically-animated as Sword of the Stranger, but I found it thoroughly enjoyable.
2 seasons (12 - 13 eps each) and 1 movie for that one.

I don't know if you watched it, but Samurai Champloo would be an obvious choice. Another few ones are Basilisk (not fully focused on sword wielding characters, but a lot of good fights nonetheless), Peacemaker Kurogane, and maybe Samurai 7 (never really watched it ><)?

A million times THIS. And I wouldn't really suggest Samurai 7 for the swordplay-lovers. That was more of a focus on storyline than action.pacotacoshell wrote:Samurai Champloo would be an obvious choice
TSUBASA RESERVOIR CHRONICLES or the TOKYO REVELATIONS OVAs, or TSUBASA SHUNRAIKI. SHAORAN FTW!
Almost as hard as fighting a Holy Paladin.

Everyone in bleach pretty much has swords but its not close to sword of the stranger. As pacotacoshell said, samurai champloo is an obvious choice

Re: Anime suggestions ?
Katanagatari has swordplay but it's swordplay is a bit different, if you see the first couple episodes you'll get what i mean. It goes down as one my favorite animes though, even if it is a bit sad at the end.
