I would have thought that was a given...to box glass....or at least right fragile on it...Warlike Swans wrote: Same, guess glass needs to be boxed.

I did put fragile labels on it. I thought that would be enough but I was wrong in this case.SammySamaProductions wrote:I would have thought that was a given...to box glass....or at least right fragile on it...Warlike Swans wrote: Same, guess glass needs to be boxed.
Warlike Swans and l33tmeatwad, I am terribly sorry that you received shattered glass as your award. And unfortunatly, that is all I can do for you as well as to mention that this will not happen again. You have my word on it.

Re: Ohayocon 2012 AMV Contest Results
I've shipped glass trophies for the past 9 years for contests, never has one shatter. My suggestion is to buy a roll of bubble wrap and mumify the trophy about 1 inch thick abnd them put crumpled newspaper all around. I played football with a package as a experiment and it was perfectly fine (unless the Post Office decides to place it in a Hydraulic press, at which point your screwed )ahinton wrote: I did put fragile labels on it. Re: Ohayocon 2012 AMV Contest Results
What happened was that I put it in an envelope that was bubbled inside. That is why I thought it would work. But I think from now on, I will put it in as small of a box as I can with the bubble wrap that you suggested.Vlad G Pohnert wrote: I've shipped glass trophies for the past 9 years for contests, never has one shatter. Thanks for the suggestion.
