Rap Battles

Post by guy07 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:02 am

Not sure if anyone is into battle rapping, but I just recently got into the scene. You'd be amazed at how many famous people you run into at these events. So ya, this is a thread for posting battles, talking about events and all that good stuff.

And to start this thread off to a good start I'll be posting this video:
http://youtu.be/RSX1_FxXTiA

If you know anything about this stuff, you'd know this is huge because:
1. King of the Dot is Toronto based, and it's starting a chapter in LA. Canada is blowing up on the scene.
2. Dizaster is one of the best battle rappers hands down and Canibus was left for dead. I really have no idea what to expect but it will be amazing.

That being said, feel free to post whatever as long as it's relevant.

Wasn't he the singer for the Foofighters?

Sorry, I had to.
Seriously, I hadn't heard of the guy before you mentioned him. I'll check out some of his battles.

Eyedea was a monster of a battle rapper, and a genius lyricist in general.

I'd merc all of you.

I'd love so see (hear i guess) this get voiced...

its an interesting concept, with the idea of "groove / shade" rules, simple and short story, but not having any type of flow whatsoever, it took me a while to be able to read through it

I've been watching Grind Time & KOTD since '09 Diz vs DNA vs easily the best battle of 2011. Pat Stay vs Marvwon is a close second.

Are you married? Because I think we're meant to be :P. Great taste in rap battles! I saw DNA and Dizaster doing their thing at the event. Awesome battle. Shook hangs with Dizaster, he's cool as hell. One of my fav's. And Pat stay is a BOSS (sucka free)! Got skooled by The Saurus at the last even I saw tho.
