Animated wrote:"Posting other peoples videos" isn't always a bad thing. Funny story: 2 years ago, someone uploaded a video of mine on youtube. He even changed the name of my AMV, even though he mentions that i made it (as well as gave the link to my youtube profile). Today, my video happens to be the first on the list when you type "amv" on youtube, with more than 2 million views (Amv- Life is Beautiful, it's real name is "Live"). How can i hate this guy when he's promoting me and made me famous worldwide?? There are already so many commenters that want to meet me! |:>

Uh... Google sorts results based on a lot of different stuff you agree to (and some you don't have any choice about). The results get skewed based on your personal log-in history, and the pretty accurate heuristics they use instead if you opt out of history tracking. Have someone else make the same search in another part of the world, and they'll get a different result. Hell, don't log in and do the search at a friend's house and you will see different stuff too.

For me, "This is Halloween" comes up first, followed by "Life is Beautiful", which is interesting because about a month ago it was the other way around.

I've done this search at least 10 different times in different computers, on friends houses or internet cafe stations, without logging in, and everytime it's in the first three results.
There were also some commenters that said it deserved to be the first at the top results, don't get me wrong :D Anyway, i don't want to show my pride in here after all these years! Just sharing my story, that's all.

Well, that's a weird username...

Back to the point now - what was it, surprise promotion?

If you mean mine, I created the account on youtube just to post one short video on IO9.com, then lost my main account.
