Just finished up episode 11 and now I'm gonna watch the Kiseki special recap thing for the heck of it.
Also,
Spoiler :
The girl IS Shu's sister.
And even an older one at that!

I don't even care now, I'm calling her Diane.

W

Way too much happened in ep12. Putting aside the disturbing
Spoiler :
incest between Shu and Mana
....... blah I don't know what to think of this show anymore especially since
Spoiler :
Gai is dead now so Shu is going to be the new leader -_-
oh well may as well keep watching at this point.

Episode 12.
W-wow... well... alright then...

I agree, way too much happened in that timespan. It felt really cluttered for 20 minutes, moreso considering their normal episode structure really isn't like that often.
I'm pretty glad knowing that they finally revealed Shu's past.
Spoiler :
Though Gai should look MUCH older than Shu as a child. They looked like the same age, it was weird.
And also agreed on the
Spoiler :
incest between Shu and Mana. Like... I know its the Apocalypse Virus and its drawn from the power of those rock crystals, but WHAT are they?! They say they have the power to make people go crazy. They also apparently can turn people to crushed up rubble and send them rocketing towards the sky. What's the correlation between the two?! Unless it just has the potential to draw out what's deep in people's hearts, like Voids, and turn it against them instead. That's an alright theory I suppose.
And then of course
Spoiler :
Gai dies. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I didn't outright love the guy, so I didn't find his death all that sad until he was hugging Mana. Even then I wasn't all that distraught over it. I want to say that there was another way, that it could have all been avoided, y'know? A pointless death to me, considering Shu could've put Mana back to sleep. He had a bigass sword. Gai was just reckless and dumb. Not to mention he's actually trusting Shu as the leader of Funeral Parlor. Another big mistake. I don't care how long he's known Shu and how much he looked up to him, Shu's changed over the years and Gai has seen that since the start of the show. Had he not repressed his memories of Lost Christmas, lived with that pain and overcome it, then MAYBE he'd be a suitable leader.
Though I guess the reveal of
Spoiler :
Shu knowing Gai as friends from their childhood days
allows episode 1 to make more sense when Gai asks Shu if he can protect her "this time."

Lastly, the fck was the point of
Spoiler :
wanting Lost Christmas to emerge? I don't understand Shuichiro's reasoning behind that.
Well, from what went on this episode I can at least say
Spoiler :
inb4 some spiritual confrontation with Mana and Shu yelling at her telling her he's not in love with her, but her vessel, Inori.

Halfway through the episode I was like "OH CRAP! MORETSU PIRATES EPISODE 2 COMES OUT TODAY!"

and I dropped this
Almost as hard as fighting a Holy Paladin.

and there I thought that episode 12 was the last one.. Episode 13 was great.. probably one of the best once since like episode 2
Spoiler :
Ayase's void is great, I'm really happy for her.
But still, I don't know if showing the whole school the void thing was all that wise.. not that they had much of a choice :)

But I liked the song in the first OP more. ;__; Still ending of Ep13 was a good beginning for a turn of events. :D
