DVD burner only burning in 4:3 aspect ratio

I'm currently using Windows DVD Maker. While I normally like the program today I found out it doesn't burn widescreen videos properly. When I burn a disk and then play it on my DVD player it plays in 4:3 and everything looks squished. Can anyone recommend a DVD burning program for under $80 that can burn 16:9 videos properly?

You mean "DVD Authoring" program. TMPEG still has some good choices offered that have small editing capabilities built in. A free alternative (which you'd expect since DVD tech is > 15 years old at this point) is dvdflick - http://www.dvdflick.net/
