Well, I don't know what people vote by pm anyway

The Modkip has obviously leveled up too high and we don't have the next badge yet so he won't listen to us /poke'nerd

I'm surprised nobody mentions other russian critics, and only S.A. Robert appears :O
I mean in this moment there are several critics that could also do the job in case S.A. Robert couldn't like Squall(c), Trampler, even the same Aggressor could also do it

Re: JCAs 2012 - In preparation
I picked him because I feel he has viewed a lot more AMVs from all over as compared to other Russian editors. Thus, I feel he would have a huge variety with his opinions/thoughts as compared... to others from the Russian community.TritioAFB wrote:I'm surprised nobody mentions other russian critics, and only S.A. Re: JCAs 2012 - In preparation
On one hand: this is a contest happening in this community. Why should people that aren't a part of this community be expected to be involved in it at all? Why should they even want to be?
/doesn't understand
On the other hand: Since this whole thing doesn't start until there's already a semi-finalist list, nobody involved should have any excuse not to watch every single video before voting, so how much you've seen up until this point isn't really an issue. As long as they're not coming in with the intent of nationalist/studio/etc. block voting up everything (i.e. they have integrity), they it really doesn't matter who the judges are, where they're from, etc.
When you get down to brass tacks, that's all this nomination is - you're listing some people you feel have integrity as judges. Unless, of course your motives aren't pure - in that case you're just looking for someone that'll favor you or your personal favorites... shit - just like real voting in elections

Re: JCAs 2012 - In preparation
YES, I agree they should participate on org in some way! I do not feel they should have to tell us how they feel in the vent section. But if they are on the site, looking around, and even commenting on AMVs then they are involved. ='3BasharOfTheAges wrote:On one hand: this is a contest happening in this community. Re: JCAs 2012 - In preparation
Well that's what happens with Robert, the guy is only interested in the AMV Announcements section as the rest of critics participate there. It depends of what the meaning of belonging to the org covers

Re: JCAs 2012 - In preparation
That's good reasoning, but then we don't know if they're actually involved in the site, making it hard to really pick them with confidence. A nice post in this thread saying "Hey! I watch AMVs and have great critique status and here are the reasons why" would be all the verification I'd personally need.Chained(E)Studio wrote:YES, I agree they should participate on org in some way!
