Blocking a user

I keep trying to block a user, but it keeps telling me I can't block a moderator or administrator -- checked the list, and the person isn't listed. I want to block this user asap.

Also, is it possible to make your posts invisible to said person? It'd sure be convenient, but if not, I'll just deal with it.

The only way your posts would be invisible to a mod or admin is if that mod or admin blocked you.

Perhaps a trick to find the hidden mods? We still have modstapo, right?

The person definitely isn't on any of the lists, and I don't really keep up with the forums that thoroughly to know about "hidden mods" (if they exist) and whether or not this person is one of them. I'm only aware of those that have their names in green or red.

i think the IRC ops have limited mod powers, at least we used to. Could be a reason. Either way, good to talk to Kari about it (or another admin) see if it's something that needs further action if it is someone with mod powers.
