Happy Thanksgiving, a-m-v.org!

I hope everyone has a good one! What is everyone's plans for today? Eating with family? Avoiding family? Skyrim?

As for us...... me, Copycat and Kit are going to go see the new Muppets movie, then we're coming back to our apartment where I will be cooking up a storm. :9 We're having turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, stuffing, mac and cheese (Kit demanded it), biscuits, deviled eggs, and cranberry sauce. For dessert, we'll have pumpkin pie and Dutch apple crumble pie (made with real Niotex!) with some fresh eggnog or apple cider. Then, we will pass out.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's family-geddon at my house today. Since all of us live in the same county, everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) shows up for Thanksgiving. But DAMN do we have some good southern food on this lovely day. So I can't complain. Afterwards, we always have our traditional shopping spree for all the females in the family, while the guys stay at home and either watch football or make fools of ourselves on Rock Band.

After everyone leaves, we put up xmas decorations. :3

We go over to our maternal grandparents' house for lunch (which still counts as dinner because it's Thanksgiving), and then we'll be going over to my uncle's (dad's brother) for something that might qualify as dinner.

Lunch is normally the same selection of things we have on every holiday - but the highlights (aside from the stuffing) are homemade cinnamon swirl bread, sweet potato casserole, and green bean casserole. Yay for Midwestern cooking.

Plan: Eat thanksgiving dinner with Grand parents/uncles family/my family and socialize

What happened: Eat dinner and play basketball using a football with brother and nephew in 50 degree weather. MINDFUUUU~
We decided to call it... FOOSKETBALL, its for foos.

The only thing I can say is passing is alot easier but making the shots is crazy hard, its bounces are so unpredictable LAWL. Either swish or miss for the most part.

Best part about it is the WTF look people gave us when we left the basketball next to the hoop stand and were playing with a football as they passed on the street.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

And the majority of the thanksgiving festivities are done for me... I've had 3 large thanksgiving dinners over the last 3 days. So much leftovers! Thankfully, my family decided to cook more then just Turkey, so I got to eat a variety of meats for Thanksgiving this year, ham, pork, ect. Worked out really well. It's nice getting together with my family, chatting with everyone and seeing my parents, something I don't get a chance to do very often. Too bad I volunteered to work the actual weekend tho.... last night's party was still going on at 2am when I left since I had to be at work at 7am this morning. I am soooo tired....

We'll be wrapping up the yearly festivities tonight. The family wants to all go out and catch The Muppet's movie and do some shopping. Which means I'm gonna have to cancel tonight's stream :( but family is important so perhaps I'll do an impromptu stream during the week.

Oh, happy bilated yearly stuff your face and break diet day!
