Huh, only one of mine made it in... First time I've had anything rejected in a long time, but at least I got one in. Now, to find out which one...

Here's the ballot listing all the finalists:

And as you see on the ballot, here's who came in 1st and 2nd in each category:

DRAMA/SERIOUS
2nd - "Dark Interlude" by Warlike Swans
1st - "Letting Go" by Miracle Falcon

ACTION
2nd - "Angels Made from Neon" by SSGWNBTD
1st - "Our Brotherhood" by Michael Hudak

ROMANCE/SENTIMENTAL
2nd - "Pianist" by ScoobINSMDBZ
1st - "Son of Man" by RiderG

UPBEAT
2nd - "So in Sync" by Snapxynth
1st - "Safety Dance" by Shin

COMEDY
2nd - "Take my LITERAL Soul Higurashi" by Ayu-shima
1st - "Shinji Does (Not) Mean Business" by PixelBlended Studios

PixelBlended Studios' video also took the Best In Show award.

My 2 cents - I mostly agree with how the contest results turned out. I thought the in-the-money finishers in Romance/Sentimental would be the other way around, but then again, I thought "Son of Man" was my favorite AMV this year. I was also surprised Brian Moore's video didn't finish first, but considering which video it lost too, it's understandable. :)

And I didn't mind not winning anything this year for my entries. Gotta try harder for next year's contests! :)

Heh, mine got moved from romance to upbeat...(where it doesn't really belong...)

Oh well, glad I made finals and that Shinji Does (not) Mean Business did well in it's final contest :)!

I think it fits better in upbeat since it's not about love but about having fun and breaking mores. It definitely belongs in the same category as Double Vision. It's not a super dance-y video, but categories are often approximate things anyway.

Thank you for posting the results!

I'm happy with that outcome, especially considering some of the competition.

Congrats to the winners!

True it's not about love so much, it really belongs in a "Fun" category...but the video cuts weren't fast enough to really make it a good upbeat. I figured romance would be a better fit since it is about relationship type stuff, but honestly it would fit "drama" lol...but not what we tend to think of as drama in the drama category...I make some videos that are hard to place...

It's not a drama because she's not at all conflicted-- but yeah "fun" would be ideal, and I think we all make some videos that are hard to place... I have no clue what category designation would be ideal for "Dark Interlude."
