Why do YOU Edit

I don't know what made me think of this or if this has been discussed before, but I think its interesting knowing the reasons why you edit or what keeps you editing.

For the longest time I had the issue in my mind was is this fun anymore. Having the habit of starting and stopping projects CONSTANTLY ask code I dropped more projects then the majority of youtube videos that contain cats. After taking a long break due to school life and other things I came back and started getting that little itch to start making something again.

To me its the thought of creation a story taking two things that have nothing to do with one another and putting them into something semi cohesive is always fun.

So what keeps you editing?

Its creative and fun for me. Sometimes its challenging, sometimes its basic, but its usually something different but enjoyable each and every time.

I discovered them by accident
I edited them for fun, a very long time ago
Reason why I didn't give up was mainly cause the amvs are a way to express several facts about life, and I like to express several things about it. And considering that now I can't draw, amvs are the best way now
Now I edit not only for the entertainment, but also to help other editors through feedback

I do it because it's a creative outlet. I'm not really good at anything else artistically so the editing lets me express myself.

no, jk, but uhh, bored in middle school, found out there were cool videos and so i wanted to do cool videos and by the time i started to do cool videos i had made a ton of friends and you get to feeling like people kinda count on you to stay active (even though that's not at all the case)

I started editing because I wanted to give back to he community I had been simply consuming from. Since then it's a creative outlet, one that I'm more inclined to follow then my recreational writing endeavors as of late.

Though really, I more or less just want to see a video with the audio/video pairing of my choosing. I more or less edit because if I don't then I wont ever see these vids because I certainly can't trust anyone else to make em for me.
