Not entering: Last time around you were inconsistent with a rule that you disqualified my videos for. Your email about it was rude. You clarified the rule only to have already disregarded it again this time around. :nono:

Making your own bumpers IS kind of a pain. Definitely will submit if I don't have to do that.

Depending on how it turns out, I'll keep it that way for future contests were bumpers would be recommended and not required like they used to.

Well, if your video has credits at the end then you're already good to go. When I submit something to Ikkicon/San Japan, I just include the credits. The contest rule's unusual, but not really a big deal.

The main reason why I had people add bumpers was to kind of make sure the amv wasn't stolen in any way. Even though it's a rare thing to happen I think for SJ next year I will make recommended but not a requirement. There are other reasons to this as well too. Plus, I don't like telling people that their video is disqualified for such a rule.

Leaving TV logo, codec, or other various watermarks, including subtitles is one rule I will greatly enforce. Unless of course the watermark is for your AMV studio or if the subtitles are needed to translate a characters voice.

"2. All AMV entries submitted must be made by you, and you alone. No group-projects/multi- editor are allowed. Critique from friends or family are considered ‘ok’ but they must not have altered the AMV themselves."

This has changed from the last rules to not just meet your needs, but others as well. Essentially, you can have friends and family give you hints and suggestions, but as long as you are the sole editor of the AMV, it is considered okay for a submissions.

The AMV rules will always be evolving from each contest to help people make good submissions, not to hurt submissions.
