Mirroring effects in AE

Post by imp » Thu Aug 18, 2011 1:12 pm

Hi,

(wasn't sure if it goes here or in the Adobe Software forum)

My question is how I mirror an image together with all the effects?
I have created an image, then imported this to a composition, added some effects, rotation, masks and movement.
And now I would like to have a 2nd one (which I create with Ctrl+D) but now mirrored horizontally in the composition.
Is there any easy way of doing this or should I painfully recreate every effect by hand?

I'm using Adobe After Effects CS3 ( *cry* ) on a windows 7 ( *more cry* ) laptop.

Thank you for your time reading/responding.

There are a couple of ways of going about this, I'll record a small tut in a hour or so and edit this post. I'll use CS5.5 but the technique I'll record for you works across all versions so it'll just be a matter of following it.

-I just realized I read your question wrong. Clearly I need to read help topics AFTER I wake up. However your question should still be answered in the form of the pre-compositing and rotating as demonstrated in the tutorial.
