Re: Usagi Drop
Thus far, I am enjoying the show, and just made a new fan yesterday showing it to a buddy who agrees, damned great show.
Anime would enjoy a much greater public image, if more anime was made more like this one.
I also think this show would do very well in the North American market, as the single parent thing is a aspect that society could readily relate to easily.

Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

Re: Usagi Drop
Continuing awesomeness.
At first I pretty much hated Rin's mom, a little less so now that we see that she's a mangaka and actually works her ass off. It'd be a hair different if she wasn't pursuing a dream with everything she had. I still really don't like her for leaving Rin. This makes for great character development though, it'll be interesting to see what changes she goes through, you can already see the effects on her of getting to see Rin.

Re: Usagi Drop
The most recent eps seem to make it look like this anime could succeed in mainstream rather easy as it sure seems to address a lot of cliche modern world lifestyles we have all gotten used to as being the norm.
I don't like her mom, but it seems apparent she doesn't like herself much either.

Re: Usagi Drop
This show is so STINKING CUTE. I'm only 2 episodes in, but it's just pulling at my heart strings. ;__________;
EDIT: OMG. ;_____________; This anime better not end badly, because I don't think my heart would be able to take it.
EDIT2: Episode 9's cuteness ate my face off. ;____;

Re: Usagi Drop
I might start reading the manga in order to continue the story. I hardly ever do that, but I really wanna see if Daikichi and Yukari ever get married.ibabrak wrote:This was lovely from the A to the Z

Re: Usagi Drop
Gotta say, I think it was a good way to wrap up the series. I was a little sad we didn't get to see an adult rin / old Daikichi, but I was satisfied with how everything worked out.
