I have to request a large file upload because not even Zarx could take it below 199mb.
I took the nearly 1GB mpeg2 at 720x480 and used VDub to shrink it to a 460mb avi.
Then I ran it through Zarx and shrunk the resolution to 480x396 for a 192mb mp4.
I dunno what else to do.

I actually had trouble keeping my 3 gig camera file OVER 100 megs when I used AutoGK. May be worth giving a shot?

What settings did you use?
I'm having trouble getting this thing to produce results even close to what you specified...
*tries a few more things*
Now all I get is failure to open the file before the video processes.
Not working at all for me... :(

Heh, actually I set it for a set size of 200 megs and got 78 :P No idea why. It takes quite a while for it to process, sadly, so tests are a bit time consuming, but it helps if you just set them up and do other things. The quality wasn't stellar, but we are trying to put a half hour into a 100 meg file. This is like old fansub days. Best you could do of course is the H.263 or whatever that codec is. May be worth looking into as well.

It doesn't work - not in VDub or in the render process.
I also can't Zarx a mp4.
I'm stuck...

You shouldn't be doing it in mp4 anyway. You should be rendering uncompressed AVI or DV or something of great quality as a basis. Starting from MPEG is a terrible idea either way. It's already a terrible codec for modern times.

...

Anyone think I'd be overstepping if I used Stinkmeaner from Boondocks? ^^ Pretty much no way to avoid the 'N' word (got I hate having to type that shit out when referring to a word) in that situation, but I'm wondering if it'll matter to anyone ^^
