OrgEditor Finals [We Ask Everyone to Come and Vote!]

Post by CodeZTM » Tue Aug 09, 2011 9:14 am

Well, here we are! Our final two editors have come this far, and now it's time to see what they've done!

For their final challenge, they were asked to create a piece that "represents who YOU are as an editor. Show us exactly what your style is, and at the same time, show us your PASSION for this hobby and why you deserve to win this contest!".

So now, let's see what the editors had to say!

___________________________________

[Removed By Request]
"Essentially, this video is about how much I enjoy making AMVs, I genuinely love this hobby and I really get into making these videos."

Video #1
"Nothing has ever demonstrated the epitome of what "my style" is than an upbeat, frantic Nyan Koi video set to a catchy Fratellis song. And nothing represents me as an editor more than an unprompted sequence of old book illustrations with made up captions."

___________________________________

Now, for this final round, we ask that any member of a-m-v.org to come and vote on how well the competitors did!

In order for your scores to count, you MUST vote on both videos and score them between 1 and 10, and offer a small amount of feedback if you feel so inclined to.

All of these scores will be averaged together and offer a possible 10 points of the finalists' final scores.

You will have until August 12th 11:59 PM Central time to Vote!

So to vote we're just replying to a topic? Kinda sloppy presentation but I guess there isn't a better option? :P

Also, why are there only two videos? Did I miss something?

Is it bad that I laughed really hard at that and almost woke up Kisanzi? >>;;

Also, I haven't watched the videos yet, but this method of "voting" is really bothering me...

As long as you know how to do addition or at least have a calculator on hand, the suspense of "WHO WILL WIN?!" is totally lost.
Plus, it's incredibly easy to look and say "Oh hay, *insert video here* is falling behind. I want that one to win. *creates a couple accounts to give all 10 score to one video and 1s to another* YAY!"

You know that the audience vote only makes up 10 damn points of the total score for this one round score, right? And it's averaged, so they can't get more than 10 points. >:/

Perhaps I'm a bit harsh, but neither of these lived up to last years finals (coughRAHHEYcough). Although, I'm fairly certain I know whose is whose, which I suppose is a good thing given the theme for the round...

A bit generous, yes. But I honestly liked both of those videos. Very enjoyable to watch.
