tsMuxer

Post by Phoshizzlit » Fri May 20, 2011 12:40 am

So recently I found this video on youtube where the user is using tsMuxerGUI to convert mkv files to ts files and puts it into Sony Vegas. I tried it myself, it can remove subtitles and the quality is still pretty nice, but for some reason when I try to put it on Sony Vegas, Sony Vegas itself just freezes up. Does anyone have a solution or know why it's happening?

Probably something in the AVC stream that Sony's decoder doesn't like. Make the AVC encode BD compliant. No need to us MKV as a halfway point, but it isn't really detrimental either.

After using tsmuxer you should use mkvmerger. Then make a script in avspromd using ffvideosource()

No seriously, the OP asked for help with tsmuxer so he can get content into his NLE which doesn't support mkv, incidentally the format of his source material. So then you tell him to convert the ts he made from an mkv back into mkv which clearly doesn't work? I fail to see your logic.

Maybe you misunderstood: you told him to use matroska when he ALREADY HAD IT. It wasn't working for him and that was why he was asking about tsmuxer.
