@Castor, That's what Brad said. My middle names are Walter Bruno.

@Godix, Actually when I was coming up with a pro wrestler persona for myself I was going to have the finishing moves "The serge suppressor and the Power Serge. A submission and a slam respectively.

Interesting fact about the last name, It's actually supposed to be Sergi but my relatives when they came from Italy to Ellis Island got their name changed and they pretty much had to stick with it.

So now my last name gets confused with eastern Eurpoean First names.

1. My English named was copped from Alex from Family Ties. This is not a fucking joke; it is literally how I got my name. I am not even legally "Alexander". As for my Chinese name, I really don't have much of a clue, but I believe it has something to do with jade polished to perfection, or something like that. My parents chose very archaic words to use for my name, and I often have to write it out for other Chinese people, since they're homonymous with much more common Chinese words.

2. Most people just call me by my last name. I think it originated when I was in middle school, since in my history class we had four or five kids named Alex, and our teacher just called us Mister/Miss Last Name. I honestly respond to my last name better (which can make it odd when my family is in company with my friends). I very rarely introduce myself by my first name, and if I do it's my polite way of saying "Fifteen minutes from now, I'm never talking to you again".

3. My username is from a rap my friend and I made up when we were 11 or so. Its meaning has since been lost to antiquity. Most people refer to me as "sto" online, but I don't really like people calling me that in person. It's a little weird.

My name is Ben and I think that's pretty much the best name ever.

No really, I do. At least it fits me like a glove. No I'm not big or some batty old man. I just think it's cool :|

Why is my nickname 'Knowname' than? well... there is 'Know' reason, neither do I 'know' why. I was just trying to come up with a name for Gemstone, a mud back in the early 90's on the internet where the only ppl to be there were EPIC nerds so... appropriately THEY wouldn't let me play unless I had an EPIC nerd RPG name! So I thought of names like Silvermain (taken) and Thistledwarf (bad idea... thank GOD it was taken) on and on until I was just like 'screw it' and just named myself Knowname :P my last name was Battery. Oddly enough the mods didn't have a problem with that :|. So since than Knowname has become my internet name. I do not use it anywhere but the internet... cuz it sounds absolutely geeky.

Recently I got fed up on how many 'Knowname's there are out there now! (I'm ABSOLUTELY sure I was the first) that I'm experimenting with a new name, pdraggy. I came up with it as Noname is a character from Puff the Magic Dragon. I was watching some VH1 spin on Pdiddy at the time SO... I just named myself pdraggy. My Christian friends don't like it :) but w/e. It's my email address, aim, msn, steam and probably other handles.

1. My mom named me 'Charles' after a friend she had when she was growing up. She told me he was something of a prodigy, and he could pick up anything, learn it in days, and excel at it (Music, art, writing, anything). I guess she thought his genius would rub off on me if she named me after him... :uhoh:

2. I've had a ton of nicknames over the years, with Chuck being the obvious favorite XD The one that stayed with me the longest was 'Chuck Bob,' which was a nickname my class supervisor gave me when I was 13. It stuck with me and my friends for years. Even to this day some of my friends still call me by it.

3. I came up with macchinainterna for my username because of my favorite band, the Goo Goo Dolls and their online club, called the Inner Machine. At first I wanted to go with an album title for a username until one day I was messing with a language translation site for shits and giggles and I came up with the Italian translation for 'ínner machine.' I liked the sound of it and went with it. The reason why I type it as all one word with no caps is because at the time I was on LJ and I had to put it together as one word in order to fit the site's 15 character limit on usernames. I liked how it looked and decided to go with it.

Nobody ever calls me by my username. I don't force that torture on anyone or anything except my keyboard when I sign in. :rofl: Though on some sites I've had people call me by 'macc' or 'macchin.'

Pwolf wrote:My real name is Scott. My mother named me after a song, "Watching Scotty Grow" by Bobby Goldsboro. Other then that, nothing special about it (other then its AWESOME! amirite?).

Fucking right.

1. My name is Scott Michael Jones. Both my parents named me, I guess. Initially, they thought I was going to be a girl, so they were going to call me Sarah. I guess the closest to that they could think of off the top of their head was Scott. Apparently it's a lazy way of saying "Scotsman", and it stuck as a name. Lazy-assed Scotsmen... ;P My middle name, Michael, comes from my godfather and cousin. Michael was an angel, etc.

I like my name, and wouldn't change it if I got the chance. (Unless I could change my name to General Badass)

2. Scott can't really be shortened, so generally I get called Scott. Some of my closer female friends (And my mother and male German teacher D:) call me Scotty. I have been called "Asshole", which has stuck. A lot of people call me that now. Dunno why. Also Wildernessguy, as I'm a Wilderness Instructor. (I teach people how to not get eaten by bears, freeze to death, and smash their faces off rocks in northern Canada)

I really only use nicknames on my closer friends, I'm usually a fairly formal person to everyone else.

3. My nickname comes from my late guinea pig, Jade. Cavy is the "official" name for guinea pigs. Unfortunately, Jade passed away this past summer. I think I've been called jade a couple times by some friends in real life, since I use this username for everything and most of my friends know it, but most of the time they don't call me it.

1. "Stefan" is a pretty common German name. There's an alternate spelling though, derived from this guy, going "Stephan". It was my dad who insisted on me being spelled with ph instead of f, mostly because he wanted my name to be more unique, and thus, I was born with that. It's pronounced exactly the same as "Stefan", which makes almost everyone who only hears my name write it down as that. Funnily enough English-speaking people make spelling mistakes as "Stephen" or even "Steven", and many seem to have quite a hard time pronouncing the "Ste" right (i.e. not with english pronounciation) :D
My last name, "Teusch", doesn't really have any clear origin or meaning. There are a few un-related people in the wider area where I live (Rheinland-Pfalz, Luxembourg and Saarland) sharing the same last name and I believe it has some French-Luxembourgish-German mixed origins.

2. I pretty much get called Stephan all the time. Some people call me by my last name, but that's how it generally is for everyone in standard German speech.

3. When first getting internet and joining a chat room, I got prompted for a nickname. Having nothing better in mind, I shortened the name from the lead character of a pc-demo I was playing at the time (Deus Ex, J.C. Denton) to JCD and pretty much sticked to it from there on. The only people calling me "JCD" in person are those I meet for the first time after only having internet conversations. I usually tell them that I feel akward being called like that and that I myself pretty much prefer using actual names. "Jaaay Seeee Deee" or "Jot Zeh Deh" (as you would say it in German) being said out loud just makes my eyes roll haha.

1. Who named you? Why did they pick that name? Does it mean anything special? Do you like your name? (If not, what would you want to be?)

I think both my parents gave me this name. You can guess it from my nickname, my name is Anna. It means something like God's lenity/grace. And... I think there's something true in it ._. Uhm by the way I don't have any problem with my name, I like it, it's symmetrical :ying: but I also like "Emilia/Emily", but that wouldn't really fit to me ><

2. What about nicknames? What do people call you? Do you have any interesting nicknames for anyone else?

My parents gave me a bounch of nicknames when I was child, too much to list. My friends gave me a lot of nicknames too for example Aji-chan (I created it first, but they got the habit too, also it's said "Ai" cause when I started to use it in my story, I didn't know really Japanese lol), Baka-chan, Chiaki, Zoey (so yeah these didn't come from my real name xD :'D), but they usually call me Anna.

3. What about your username(s)? Does anyone call you by a username in "real life"?

Not really... I'm just always "Anna".

I was named by my father, iirc what my mother told me. I don't delve in names much, but it originally came from France through Germany. And yup, I think I like it :>

2. What about nicknames? What do people call you? Do you have any interesting nicknames for anyone else?
I have about twelve million nicks. I am very split personality-wise. Though it used to be worse, nowadays it's like 4-5 nicks usually :>
Oh, and they call me Sanya, Nya-chan, Yue-chan, Kotomi, Wolfii (most usually) and because of a certain incident at school including hood, my classmates used to call me Kenny :>

3. What about your username(s)? Does anyone call you by a username in "real life"?
Whole nickname nope, but I am commonly referred to as Nya-chan :>

1. Who named you? Why did they pick that name? Does it mean anything special? Do you like your name?
Uhhm both my parents named me.
They picked it because it was the name of the nurse that took care of me. (I was premature and spent 12weeks in the hospital in an incubator/wasn't meant to be able to walk etc. etc. -Loves proving doctors wrong- x'D)
Apparently it means Lily or something. D: I don't really like my name. Susan sounds like a granny name in my head. ;_; Even though I don't like it, I don't think I would suit another name. xD

2. What about nicknames? What do people call you? Do you have any interesting nicknames for anyone else?
Most people call me Susie. I prefer Susie. Though when I was little I shouted at people for calling me it because 'only my daddy was allowed to call me Susie'. Yeah, -total daddies girl when I was young- xD;
My sisters/brother call me Subo sometimes. ;___;
Some people would call me 'Susie Blue Shoes' because when I was about 8 I broke my leg and got a blue cast on it. ;__; I GOT A PINK ONE FIRST BUT PEOPLE ONLY REMEMBERED THE BLUE ONE. ;__;
Online people call me, Susie, Chii, (though I associate that more with Chiikaboom) Cheese, Mushroom, Cheeesterus and Monster. D: The cheese names are mostly because I hate cheese. xD;
Nicknames for people would be, Turtle, Kaipi, Squid, Pancake and Panda. D: Stuff like that.

3. What about your username(s)? Does anyone call you by a username in "real life"?
No. But I use it. D: Instead of using 'Jesus' when I'm shocked I use 'Chiiisus'. That's how my username came about. xD;

1. Who named you? Why did they pick that name? Does it mean anything special? Do you like your name? (If not, what would you want to be?)

I guess my mom mostly but it was a series of events lead to my name. Starting when the doctor told my parents that I was gonna be a boy and they planed on naming me Shawn. Once they found out I was a girl (aka the day I was born lol) my mom wanted to name me Madison cause she always wanted a girl with that name but my jackass of a father wanted all of us to have the same initials with our 1st and last name which is S.M.(even through his 1st name actually starts with a W he went by his middle name which started with an S) so they added an 'el' and the end and you have "Shawnel". There is currently no meaning and I haven't meant anyone with the same name. As a kid I hated it because I was picked on all the time for it. Why, cause it was different and to them 'weird name = freak'. Also its kinda sad when you have a sub and if their stuck on a name you know it's yours. Now I really like it and I get a lot of compliments on it from random people who like that it's different. One thing I love about getting older was I started to like my name more and I would hear more people who liked it over those who made fun of it.

2. What about nicknames? What do people call you? Do you have any interesting nicknames for anyone else?

Well besides the 'nicknames' kids use to make fun me I didn't really have any, nor do a wish to repeat them. In High school a friend of mine kept calling me 'Shippo' cause when my hair was up in a ponytail it was 'poofy' like his tail... I made her quit after a few months. I have a lot of local 'fans' from Across and the 'Anime Days' at the mall who call me Fa/Fay since I told them that was my name to find videos and other stuff. Also some people have a hard time saying Shawnel so I just tell them to call me Fay. I don't have nicknames for other people cause I prefer using the name they want me to use. I know what it's like to be called or 'nicknamed' something you hate so I don't want to do that to someone else.

3. What about your username(s)? Does anyone call you by a username in "real life"?

Well, I've had 3 since I've joined this site. 'Miss Sakura-San" was just me being a fangirl of Card Captor Sakura and since "Sakura-San" was taken I just added the "Miss". I changed it to -Fa- to be taken more seriously and using a part of my real name. However I think it backfired and since people keep thinking it's the note 'fa' I changed it to Fay-Sa which is what I use on every site now. As mention above people do use my username in real life, just the Fay part through.
