Re: AMV Hell 6: The End of the Universe 2012
Actually, it's been proposed by some scientists that the 'end of the world' calendar left by the Mayan people was actually a 'hand-me-down' from the previous inhabitants of that area, the Olmec. And most people agree that the calendar should be interpreted as a sort of rebirth that will occur at the end of this cycle, rather than 'the end'.ssgwnbtd wrote: This project will run concurrently with AMV Hell 6: Final Fantasy Hell. The theme of this project is the end of the entire Universe in December 2012 foretold by the Maya.

So, next is AMV Hell 7: The Rebirth?guy07 wrote:...most people agree that the calendar should be interpreted as a sort of rebirth that will occur at the end of this cycle, rather than 'the end'.
It will be interesting to see how AMV Hell fares as a themed MEP.

Or, y'know, they had to stop somewhere and couldn't just continue writing dates forever. Calenders in general are cyclical. There's a point in which you stop creating them and figure someone else will take over in the several millenia of time of slack you gave them.guy07 wrote:Actually, it's been proposed by some scientists that the 'end of the world' calendar left by the Mayan people was actually a 'hand-me-down' from the previous inhabitants of that area, the Olmec. Re: AMV Hell 6: The End of the Universe 2012
Themes aren't that hard to do.
Waiting for the material to roll in before the deadline is the real stress.
Then establishing flow and some kind of continuity is another headache altogether.
We've parodied [adult swim], taken on the world of television, and this year are lampooning children's stuff (toy ads, movies, songs, etc).
Not sure yet what AMV Salad 6 will be themed after...

Re: AMV Hell 6: The End of the Universe 2012
I don't really mind the idea of a theme. having no theme was pretty signature AMV Hell, but I think it's just about worn its welcome.
Guess I'll have to try and think up some terrible stuff for this project too.
