That's good to know. I guess the staff must be worn out or something. XD

Thank you so much for posting that. It's the first time I've ever seen/heard anything related to my AMVs at a con scene. <3

Thanks, I also had one of the song titles slightly wrong. The list is now fixed and final (considering they announced it right, haha).

Really? You haven't been to one your videos have played at? My first experience hearing the crowd response was last year at Animazement since I was there, however I did get to see a video of my AMV winning at Anime Boston this year, that was pretty cool too!

I used to have a personal policy about only submitting to contests I would be present for.
Since I started staffing more cons than I attend I decided this year to enter those that weren't on my schedule.
The closest I ever came to winning a contest I was at is Tekkoshocon this year where I came four votes short in a runoff (after a tie in the main contest) for Best Commercial.
Now that I'm not present my video is winning.
*sigh*

Haha! I'm just so elusive.... :awesome:
I really, really wish I could have heard the crowd reaction. That's pretty much why I go, but oh well! Prizes :ying:
Congrats to everyone else too! Some of you I already know. Hehe. My video will be up on the org soon. I have redeemed myself since AZ 2009. Feels good.
I want org opinions people! 5 years, only got 1! jk jk XP

I wish they'd have announced our studio names rather than our real ones.
No one really identifies with those as much as our aliases.
And I hate my real name...so ordinary.

I'm never attending the con when my video wins either. It's only happened once so far and it took 7 years since my first contest.

It took forever just to see one of mine in the Otakon finals (I've never won there). Either I break and I can't go...or I go and I don't break...or I go and break but my category gets disintegrated by the legal team. :uhoh:

Yes, agreed. They used to do both before the contest format changed. I also wonder why we couldn't submit hi-quality. The screen I watched overflow videos on Sunday looked capable of 720p output. File size i guess? I don't know. I really don't know too much about that kind of equipment though.
