Hey.
Meant to tell you sooner about this.
I showed some of my staff members "What What."
They were all kinda leery about it so I asked our con chair.
He'd seen the video before I asked and said it's a "no go because this is a more 'family friendly' convention with kids and parents together."
I wanted to make sure we weren't going to cross any lines and it's a good thing I did.
Don't get me wrong...this is a really good video.
Send this for the NSFW contest at Katsucon for sure.
It's just not right for AMA.
My apologies.
Your other video is still there though...

So you're basically saying that Anime Boston and Anime Central, cons much bigger (and I suppose better) than yours, are less child-friendly? Is that what you're saying? Because that seems to be what you're saying. And I'm sure those con's respective staffers would have an opinion on this.
Hell, next I suppose you'll be saying that AMA is more patriotic than more "liberal" conventions that aren't in "Real America" and that's why they have to censor AMVs that don't actually show any offensive content.

Methinks you either didn't watch the video in question or don't understand what constitutes a PG standard.
Either way, you took this statement way out of context.

You should realize by now that convention chairs (and convention company's board members) are the final authority on all programming accepted into a convention. If the convention chair decides that any contest video is not allowed, it's not allowed -- end of discussion, end of story. Don't blame Rich for it -- it's over his head.
