Finally got my insurance card from work today. I've had a temp card for the last 2 months I've been using. Now I finally feel like a real boy, all growed up and able to actually see a doctor. Too bad (or good) that I'm not sick right now.

Got the next two days off. Perhaps I should see about getting an appointment for a physical (been meaning to get one for the last few years but could never really afford it) a chiropractor (been way too long since my last adjustment) and I know I'm overdue for a checkup for my eyes and in need of a good teeth cleaning, ooh, and an allergist as well since I've been wanting to go back onto shots. Guess I'm gonna be a busy boy |:>

Not sure if this is "happy" as much as it is "bittersweet," but it's definitely not a vent, so I'll put it here.

Just had my last band rehearsal of college, and probably my life, and my final concert is tomorrow. Oh, saxophone, what ever am I going to do with you now?

Oooh, and on that note, for the last couple of months, I have been transcribing videogame music for saxophone duets and playing them in my lessons. My professor loves them. :D He keeps saying that I should get paid to do it (or that he should pay me for all the work), to which I always respond, "Yeah, no copyright infringement there." :P

I was really cautious about taking saxophone lessons, even though I adore the teacher, but he proved me wrong. This is actually a lot of fun and I'm glad I did it. I'm a little sad that it ends in another week or two!

Tomorrow I turn 31, my family is driving down to visit and to run around the city and have fun, reservations at the best sushi place (so I'm told) in the area, and tonight there are ponies.

Internet permanent record:

Journey to the End of the Night 2011 was awesome. I got tagged about a block away from the final safe zone, but I don't really care -- I still checked in 8th with a final time of 1:43:55, which is far faster than I expected to complete the journey in. (And I ran the whole way!)

I am still kicking myself for not having the energy for that final evasive sprint, but this was just year 1. Year 2 will be different.

Just finished a productive visit to the Pokemon Dream World. Finished collecting all of the type resist berries AND found a male Aerodactyl that knows Stealth Rock. Oh yeah.

Small ray of light. The job that I've been waiting to schedule my in-office interview with just told one of the girlies that I currently work with that she'll have her call-back to schedule in 1-2 days. When I called it was 1-2 weeks...so it looks like they're FINALLY ready to start hiring :D

And it turns out there is a training class that starts May 23rd...which is the EXACT date I'm supposed to start evil shift of evil...

I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket, but I'm REALLY counting on this other job to save me. More money, better hours, nicer staff, easier position....and NOT working for the devil....I could really use that right now....

Got into Quinnipiac in CT off of a waitinglist. It really stands out from the other colleges I got into and it looks like I have no regrets about going there. I am so ready for college it's nuts.

Tomorrow I got a job interview with JC Penny. Feeling very confident about it.
