21. X2!... Cept it was my niece and nephew born instead of a sibling. I'm the youngest of my siblings - but my older siblings both have had 4 kids a piece. They range from 15 to 2.

X3!!!! I'm the oldest of six, and I've more than done my quota of raising the next generation into horrible little people.

______________

1. When I take exams or am doing something that requires attention for long periods of time [like mowing the lawn or doing taxes], Disney movies [from start until finish] play through my Brain. During my accounting final today, I was playing Pocahontas. I got weird looks and a gentle nudge when I starting humming JUST AROUND THE RIVERBEEEEEND.

2. I know jack shit about cell phones, despite my knowledge of most software/technology. On the same note, I text like an old lady with arthritis in the middle of a blizzard. [AKA: Very slowly]

3. Despite owning all of the Shinkai movies, I've never actually just LOVED them. They're ok, but they're just not something that I ever plan on watching again. It was more or less my friend that was so OMGOMGOMGAWESOME that got me them for Christmas/Birthdays.

4. I have all 3 current generation consoles. Of the three, I can honestly say that I play my DS/PSP more than the other three combined. Actually, I've probably played the SNES more than the other three combined. And it's not because of time constraints. >_>'

5. My parents have an outstanding debt of nearly 1,500 dollars that they owe me, but will more than likely never pay back, despite their saying that they will. My brother has about 500, and he's probably more likely to pay it back.

6. When running computer maintenance on a teacher's computer at school, me and 2 other friends found nearly 200 GB of REALLY CREEPY PORN. While I wasn't the one that said anything, he later resigned from his position without much of an explanation.

7. I actually "moderately" enjoyed the first three books in the Twilight series. While not some of the more better written things I've ever read, I thought it was unique to say the least. The fourth one was a chunky vomit milkshake, however. Deviantart writers did a better job than that piece of shit.

8. I religiously follow Wasted Talentand Questionable Content, and almost enjoy them more than manga.

9. In every group project I have ever been in, I have done all the work voluntarily. Mostly because I don't want people screwing around until the last minute and creating absolute shit.

10. I dream of seeing this song played on FoxNews, CNN and any other media outlet by a disgruntled employee or a hero.

My mom owes me that much, but I said that can cover 3 months of my rent since I'm renting 2 rooms from her right now (bedroom/computer+entertainment room). My sister owes me that much too and she HAS to pay that all back me now that she just got a new job.

Thanks, glad to be of help :D

In fairness, I think one of the most important things in life is to know how to not take yourself too seriously. In the end, and maybe that's my Achilles heel (for confidence and self-esteem, anyway), but I believe that any judgment of how serious, good, and otherwise useful you are should come not from what you believe about yourself, but from what you can actually do. If you actually mean business, then you don't need to ever say it. I have no patience for people who act all serious but can't show anything for it other than the usual faking and some sort of socially-acceptable collection of consumer goods, or even superficial knowledge.

That's why I've also got massive respect for people like you who nevermind the naysayers about their hobbies and social status, but slowly work on actual big projects. At the end of the day, the work will speak for itself. But even if the work is not a definite project of some kind, I think people's seriousness and quality should speak for itself.

I have no idea what Goshka-durak means but is a totally awesome name for Orc-Barbarian Warlord.

As for taking yourself too seriously being your achillies heel, I hope I've helped in some small way with that :P

Actually I meant the opposite, haha. C'mon, you know I'm the last person who'd take myself seriously (in front of other people, anyway) :P My work, interests, and personality, are constantly subject to my own put-downs and ridicule. Doesn't mean I don't actually take them seriously, I just have a healthy sense of humor about it. That said, you totally helped me develop a healthy sense of humor towards other 'serious' things, too (music and ponies etc. being not least of them. YES PONIES ARE SERIOUS).

x4 - though my mind was made up long before my sister was born [She's 5, I'm 20], and she didn't have much influence on that decision anyway. I've just never been able to put up with very young kids for whatever reason. If in the future I did want a kid, I would probably consider adopting.

====

* I really like being at the beach. I like hanging out with friends their, taking naps, looking at the water, just the whole atmosphere. The only thing I dont like is the water itself. I don't like swimming, I HATE being cold, and no matter what the water temperature is I get to about my knees for five minutes, freeze, and then am done with the whole ocean thing for the rest of the day. I literally have to be dragged in sometimes because I get that miserable.

* Piggybacking off of the above, I almost drowned in the ocean blue once, which doesnt help my dislike for the water much. I was standing about up to my shoulders in the water with my friend just talking, then all the sudden the tide came in, I couldn't touch the bottom anymore, and I silently panicked. As I made meek calls for help, my friend, who was staring right at me, JUST KEPT TALKING. Before I knew it, a lifeguard had grabbed me, and lead me over to the lifeguard...tower..thing and told me to wait. So of course in my dazed state I walked back to the car. My friend later asked 'So why didn't you ask for help?'. Thanks, buddy.

* I have a tendency to curl up anywhere and be comfy. On the floor, on a table, whatever. One of my teachers even expects this from me now XD

* You know how people get songs stuck in their heads? Well on top of that, I get SCENES stuck in my head...transformation sequences, OPs, and the like, repeating in my head over and over for no apparent reason.

* In my college career, I've only taken 1 general-ed class...the rest have been graphic design/art classes. I'm not trying to avoid them, that's just how it's worked out...

* We've had about 4 cats, all of them outside cats because dad is allergic and I'm allergic whenever my body decides to be. 3 of them have gotten, uh, mildly run over [As in, just a tail/paw], and disappeared a few days after. One of them dissipated the day after we spent a buttload of money at the vet. :|

* The first time I entered an AMV contest, I got a confirmation email that said something to the effect of 'we have received your videos and you are in the semifinals'. Apparently the 'semifinals' were the normal judging that every con does to decide what gets shown in the contest. I didn't make it in [Nor should I have, those vids kinda sucked], but I was sure as heck confused when I wasn't in the contest xD

* I have a pretty incredible habit of really liking a song from a band, then listening to that band's CD and not liking anything else they do. A lot of my library has just a handful of songs from the artist.

* I really, really, really like curry. Curry ramen, chicken katsu curry, curry over rice, you name it. As long as it isn't chocked full of onions, I love it. I only just recently found a place near my house that serves a curry dish though.

* I'm one of the many who can easily lose his day to TV Tropes...

Perhaps it's not what I want more than anything else, but sometimes I just get these little maternal pulls at me, like at work. I have to walk through the baby clothes section to get to the break room and it makes me feel a lil baby crazy or something. Biological clock kicking in? I dunno. For me, the only thing that's really holding me back is finances/career/etc. It doesn't help that some coworkers will ask me if I have children, then proceed to tell me that they think I'd make a good mom. For whatever reason, I've had people tell me that for the last 10 years and it makes me a little sad every time because I'm not at that point yet.

ps Adam is probably gonna read this and have a panic attack.

Edit: And I'm actually really good with kids and I always have been. Partly because of the nurturing bit we were talking about in the other thread, and partly because I actually enjoy their company. Probably because I don't view them as "children" but more like...the beta version of an actual person.

I can relate also. When I got married even my mom half seriously cracked a joke about not making her a grandma right away because she knew were not emotionally ready to care for a little human. I wanted a puppy so bad to take out my maternal urges on but between living in a "no-pet" apartment and then wanting to avoid the problem of getting a dog accustomed to a hypothetical baby...never happened.

Oh well. Life is a funny thing. You never know what hand you're going to be dealt.

11.) On a related note I have PCOS. Took me years of "What the hell is wrong with meeeee!" before finally getting a diagnosis. I could be upset about it because it does make it harder to have kids. But truth be told I'm just happy to have a name for it and knowledge of ways it can be treated.

12-20.) I'll come back to ya in a week.

Another go.

21) In Senior year of high school I maneuvered myself onto Yearbook staff so that I'd be able to actually make sure to get my picture in the right section. As far as my credits were concerned, I only became a Junior about six months before graduating. That whole deal with the nasty side effects of medication was the ultimate reason. I ended up going a dual-enrollment route, where the 'dual' part of it was a homeschool curriculum based on the textbooks I would have been using had I not failed out of IB.

Because of that, and the classes I'd failed at the end of sophomore year, my credits didn't reflect my actual grade level. That homeschooled half went nowhere, so I basically had the easiest Junior and Senior years ever, academically-speaking - I had one (technically two, but the second course I took without the school's knowledge because I convinced the teacher to let me audit, and whenever the IB principal visited I had to sneak out of the classroom very covertly because I still used the IB office for administrative reasons and they knew who I was) class in Junior year, and three in Senior - all of them were electives. I was already testing at a level equivalent to a college Senior in most subjects, though.

22) The local community college allows either SAT/ACT results or a testing in process for placement. Since I took the SAT, I brought that. The admissions counselor took one look at it and could not stop herself from blurting out, "Damn." I'd scored a 1280, and this was when 1600 was the maximum score. I'd also note that this was a couple years since taking an SAT prep course, and on the PSAT we took in 10th grade, I'd actually scored 1380.

23) We have a legacy of video game consoles. As a family, we have an NES, SNES, PS2, Xbox, and Wii. My sisters both have Game Boys (I'm not sure if both have an Advance or whether it's one Advance and one Pocket). I have one of the original 'grey brick' Game Boys, a Genesis, a PSX, a GBA, and a Dreamcast.

Most of those consoles have few games we actually bought for them. My PSX and the PS2 and Wii seem to have been the exceptions. The others have anywhere between 6-10 games or something like that. And due to the fact that the NES and SNES are not hooked up and I prefer a larger screen when playing Game Boy games, the Dreamcast gets more use out of emulators for other systems than it does native games.

24) All two of the Blu-rays (Eva 1.11 and 2.22, it'll be four once K-ON! Vol.1 and the preordered Vol. 2 get here) in this house are mine, and yet we don't even have a Blu-ray Disc player. Just a BD-ROM drive in my mom's laptop.

25) I make extremely weak coffee, and drink two or three pots of it a day (one pot = ~2 mugs' worth; it's a 4-cup coffee maker). On the other hand, I will usually steep tea for twice as long as you're supposed to, although I only have tea once in a while.

26) From the time I was 11 until I was 16(?) I obsessively taped music off the radio. It eventually was eclipsed by burning CD-Rs instead.

27) I went to Grad Nite alone, and spent a fair portion of the night walking around Disney World by myself, even though I did meet up with friends a few times. Rode Space Mountain 2 or 3 times. Slept for like 15 hours once I got home.

28) On the 8th grade trip to Busch Gardens, me and a couple friends convinced one of our other friends (who had never ridden a roller coaster before) to ride Montu in the front row.

29) I had a pet hedgehog for a couple of years. Didn't find out until it was dying that we'd probably been mistaken about its sex the entire time.

30) Green vegetables (and some others, like cauliflower, carrots, and beets) generally incite my gag reflex - especially broccoli and Brussels sprouts. I can barely stomach chewing them, and have to have a glass of water to wash them down or else I will actually gag when trying to swallow them. There's only a few that I actually like eating.

On a quasi-related subject, I have very specific tastes about apples. I don't like raw apples or apple sauce*, but love apple jelly, apple flavor/filling (like Apple flavored Toaster Strudels, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios, apple fritters, or the filling of Krispy Kreme Cinnamon Apple Donuts), and cooked apples.

*when served as-is, anyway; it could be an ingredient of a cake or something and not evoke that reaction.

I didn't know there was an arcade in the Magic Kingdom? Of course, I've only been to Disney World a handful of times, even if it is only a couple of hours away. Heck, it was only a couple years ago that I finally got to go to Epcot and MGM.

Cuz cool people are posting here and i just wanna be trendy. Also im bored.

1. I have an unhealthy addiction to pepsi.

2. Older men who watch My Little Pony freak me out.

3. The MLP fandom creeps me out.

4. The fact MLP kink fics exist, creeps me out.

5. I love My Little Pony.

6. I love scythes, Tim Burton, and asymmetrical death god shota bois.

7. I am a feminist.

8. I hate hate hate HATE it when people say that they have OCD when they don't. I dont care if you're a perfectionist or really organized or anal retentive, whatever, that isn't the same as OCD. Theres a fine line between having obsessive compulsive tendences and an actual freaking disorder.

9. I hate it when people use the word 'spaz' to describe anime characters, themselves, someone else, anything, etc, and completely refuse to acknowledge the fact it has ablist roots. Its ok to accidently use it or be unaware of what it really means, but when you point out to someone that they shouldnt throw that word around in public as it could offend someone (and it has) and freaking flips a shit on you for overreacting on how its just a word, thats what I can't stand. Because, you know, when you call a black person 'nigger' and they tell you not to say that, you have every right to tell them that its just a word. Yup.

10. I have made 22 amvs since I stopped uploading to the org. Saying I have no life is an understatement.
