As I've said before, you've got a talent for telling a story, regardless of what else is going on in the video. I haven't watched Gurran Lagann since it came out, but this brought me right back to some of the themes in that series which I've never forgotten. I also appreciate someone going back and working hard on something they really wanted to see it be the best it could be.

a couple of the "run run run run" scenes in the middle were awkward and could have been more dynamic or emotional, and at the beginning the lyrical sync was kinda like reading a story book, but i began to love that by the end of the first quarter.

I totally agree with this. I must of ran through the first 7 episodes a million times trying to find any scenes with Kamina in it. Mother fucker had to die so quick in the series there weren't any good clips left of him after a while.
