PNGs are stuck interlaced in Premiere Pro 2.0?

That makes no sense. You should have significantly more choices than that if you installed AMVapp. Among them, as an example, would be XviD. Indeed, you should probably have any other VFW codec available to you that installed. It's been a while since I used Pro 1.5 or 2.0, but I don't recall that ever being an issue I ran into.
