Hey Editors!

This year is the birth year of a new con hosted in Sacramento, California @ the Hyatt Regency. Therefore this is the first year of a (hopefully) annual AMV contest! If you would like to enter here are the Rules. Thank you so much! These rules might be updated in time.

-VivifxAMV

Each entrant is allowed one Submission

-Submissions must use a majority of anime/game footage and a
majority of music. Excessive dialogue/narration is not allowed.

-Submissions must be more than 30 seconds in length and not more
than 6 minutes in length

-Collaboration videos are accepted. If you would like to receive
collaboration credit please contact me (info below)

-Submissions May not contain--
--Studio Bumpers -- However AMV editing studio logos MAY be
incorporated into the video itself.
--Content rated above PG-13 -- so no intense violence, blood,
gore, nudity or intense sexual content
-- For Trailers -- The MPAA "green screen" that usually
accompanies a trailer. You may parody this screen.
-- No copyrighted logos belonging to but not limited to Motion
Picture Studios, Television Studios or products. Parody is
allowed.
--Audio from an official English Dub. Japanese Dub is acceptable.
-- Watermarks from TV-Tokyo, DIVx etc etc

Convention attendance is NOT necessary to enter a video. HOWEVER - If you would like to attend the contest physically you need to buy a badge and attend the con. Registration information is available at Kintoki's website.(But we would like to see
you there)

Submissions will be sorted into one of 6 categories: Comedy,
Action, Drama, Sentimental/Romance, Dance/Upbeat, Parody/Trailer.

Winners will be decided by Audience vote at the contest. A Judges
Choice and Best in Show category will also exist.

Submissions cannot have won First Place or Best in Show at ANY other
conventions.
-2nd Place or Runner up AMVs will be accepted.

The better quality Video you send -- the better it will look.

IMPORTANT SUBMITTING INFO HERE---------- YOU MUST SEND ME A LINK TO THE DOWNLOAD OF YOUR AMV: (ie the Org, Megaupload, Sendspace etc). After you have uploaded the video to one of these sites please EMAIL ME the link as well as the submission form (see below) . Email to vivifxcon@gmail.com
ALSO if your submission is on youtube please post it as a video response. That will make screening the entries much easier for me. If it isn't on youtube, that will not affect your chances of becoming a finalist. -----

Submissions must be received no later than midnight on May 20, 2011

-Entries are encouraged to be in MPEG1 or MPEG2 format. Any codec
is fine, but the more popular it is the easier my life will be.

-Acceptable frame rates are 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, and 30.

- Please encode your video for 4:3 playback as the contest will be
screened in 720 by 480 format.

-You must include a submission form with your submission. You can
access the form here http://www.sendspace.com/file/obww6m
Please Email it -- filled
out with your NAME and CATEGORY somewhere in the file name-- to Vivifxcon@gmail.com

-Please name your video submissions something along the lines of
Name/Studio -- Video Title. For example VivifxAMV -- An AMV About
TV.mpg

- If your submission cannot be opened -- you will be contacted. Please
follow the submission rules to avoid this however. Excessive file
issues is grounds for disqualification.

Once your submission has been accepted you will receive a confirmation
Email

Entrants are not guaranteed to be in the contest. All entries will be screened
and finalists will be posted prior to the con.

Kintoki reserves the right to expel any submission.

If you have any questions please contact me via email me Vivifxcon@gmail.com

The entry form is a PDF and I don't have access to a PDF editor. Do you want a printed out - hand filled form or would a .TXT file with all the information on the pdf work?
