Mostly yes. Rather than an alternate ending, it's the one that follows the novels so the first one is the alternate. Only the last like... 7 minutes are different.

Ok, just checking. Cuz i watched it and was like "wait, I'm pretty sure I've seen this .." lol. So I guess this means there's gonna be a S2?

1st ep wasn't anything special, it felt more like a crossover ep to connect the OVA's and season 2. Hopefully this will pick up the pace
