AviSynth open failure

Postby MyBloodyDiary » Sat Feb 12, 2011 1:50 pm

Hi, thanks for reading this topic. Well, I installed Virtual dub mod and as I was trying to use it an error message kept appearing, I dont know why, thats why Im here. A friend of mine tried to help me, but it seems like her efforts wernt any help, so she told me to ask if anyone knew what to do here. Basically what happens is that i choose the file I want to convert, set the right settings and hit ok and an error message appears saying that the audio and video cannot be read because the format cannot be supported. I have Ace Mega Codecs Pack installed on my computer, my friend fears that if I install the codec pack she has on her computer itll ruin my computer, though she claims she cannot speak because shes not a genious with computers. xD I would really appriciate any help! Thanks.

Get rid of all codec packs and use CCCP instead. I'd also say get rid of vdubmod and install the latest virtualdub from http://virtualdub.org. Mod is way out of date and there is no good reason to use it. Probably has nothing to do with your actual problem but it doesn't hurt to have something better.
