Mine was a show called Grimm's Fairy Tales, which used to come on Nick, Jr. (Nickelodeon) back in the day. I didn't even know what anime was, but I knew that the style was different from any other that I had ever seen at the time. The link on YouTube of the opening of this show should still be up.

I loved that show. *^_^* That and The Noozles were the 1st anime I ever watched. The 1st one I knowingly watched was the GitS movie. The 1st one I willingly watched was FMA. (What? There are anime out there without giant mechs, magical girls, or fanservicy females popping up on the screen every 5 seconds? )
