Help!

Postby Deadly_Cobragirl » Wed Dec 11, 2002 10:27 am

I'm trying to create an anime music video using Windows Movie Maker, but I can't seem to figure out how to take the background sound off and to take the subtitles off. This is my first music video and I really need some help, so if anyone can help me, I would really appriacate it. Thank so much everyone. 8)

Are you using downloaded footage that has subtitles on it? If so, there's not much you can do about them with the exception of clipping the edges, using a blur filter, or actually editing them out frame by frame. In an answer to your sound question, when I get home from work tonight, I'll try to figure out WMM. I'd tell you to to go "Find" a copy of Premiere, since it's severely powerful, but that would be illegal huh?

Ok when I first started my AMVs I used WMM but disliked the limitations it had, but when I got Premiere I knew this was the best editing program out there. Dont know why some people like WMM so much there really isn't anything special about it.....and not to mention very difficult to edit in WMM.

WMM is not difficult at all. :? If you are a simple, straight cuts editor (like myself), then WMM is the simplest way to get your vision across IMO. If it had better exporting options, I'd still use it.

What I mean is when you cut a clip in WMM all the clips move together instead of just staying in the place you want them such as Premiere lets you do.

That's why you have to plan your video down to the edge, or carefully add a clip that fit the space that the removed clip took up. So, like many have said before me, WMM is pretty good for simple videos, rarely anything complicated.
