Calender

Postby Begi » Sun Dec 12, 2010 8:59 pm

Although you can tell what day it is by just looking at your taskbar or going to the board index, I think it would be nice to have a calender somewhere on the site homepage and on the member's main page. Like right under the login on the site homepage and under the notices on the member's main page.

And something I noticed on the members main page. There is a period between Members and Main so it looks like Members.Main Page. Shouldn't there be a space?

Unless the calendar serves as advertising dates of important events such as contests, conventions or the VCAs. There's no point.

there already is a calendar of conventions and contests.
Sure it's not on the main page, and depends on the people running the cons/contests to enter the data...but it's something at least.

and the answer I got when I asked about the period between members and main was, "historical reasons".
I still like to think someone was a bit drunk and taking an object-oriented programming class at the time though.

:) They must have been really drunk considering php uses -> and :: instead of . for accessing object methods and properties.

historical reasons? lmao

anyways, the whole point is to put the calender on the main page just because it's a lot more convenient.

Here's an idea, put video releases on the calendar on the day they were released?

It would come in pretty handy for some people, though - for example if you make an AMV panel with, say, January videos only.
