though, it's all good

4. Content of Videos
"Videos containing any sort of logos, watermarks, official credits, credits of your own creation, video bumpers before or after your video that are not actually your AMV, fan-sub subtitles, corporate subtitles, or any other graphic or lettering not specifically of your own creation may be disqualified."

Also, downloading licensed *anything* is illegal (unless you pay for it). Do not do that; or at the very least, do not say that you are going to do that.

Alrite i think im all set to enter. Just a few tweaks i wanna make sure i understand first. lol.

so .mpg files are ok right? I dont really know the difference between, mpeg and mpg so if mpg works, then all is well. The last question is the submission. Ive been using SendIt.com to send files so is it alrite to use that to send my video/txt file to you?

I would like to ask something....this is not related to the AMV Contest, so I'm sorry for this...but I was watching some AMVs on animemusicvideos.org, and I was wondering why some videos do not have a "Preview" ???? while most of the videos have... :|

For starters, only videos that have been uploaded to the LOCAL server can have previews.

If you see a video with a local link but no preview, then it's probably a new upload that the server hasn't had the time to convert to previewable format yet.

Considering that the rules state that (for example) WMVs will be converted to MPEG-2, I'd go ahead and create an MPEG-2 file, because it looks like that's the preferred format. I'm not sure if having the E in the file extension makes a difference when it comes to MPEG-1/2 files.

thats wut i think but id prefer to have confirmation since its my first time sending stuff like this online. I mean teh codec i rendered with was mpeg-2 and the file extension ended up as mpg so im assuming thats the same thing o_o. Im still not sure but maybe i should go ahead and send it. I'll wait like 2 more days to see if the Admin for the contest gets to this question. if not i'll go ahead and send as is. other than this question im all set to enter o-o
