IMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRSE. <3

Definitely my favorite DRRR! video at the current time in the universe. The coloring effects were excellent and well executed with meaning and/or necessity. I thought the take on the non-conventional storyline was interesting, and I thought that the movement/pace [for the most part] was well done.

I think some of of the scenes were a bit static for the music at times, but I honestly don't know what could have replaced them. Except for a few episodes/scenes, DRRR! is fairly static and non-action in the first place. You [and most of the AMV population around here] know my feeling about black flashes/fades, so I'll leave it at that. XD Every now and then, I also felt like the atmosphere took a plunge because of a certain scene, but it was few and far between.

Great work. I thought it was a great video that had great effects use and just a few hair-line fractures here and there.

D'aww that's a shame you didn't like the rest of it. :( Anything in particular about the editing that left you disappointed? Was it the pacing perhaps? :uhoh: Haha, anything with Izaya is

Well, the only thing that'd keep us from going to the finals would be not being able to finish it in time for the deadline.
But yeah, if we finish in time we'll definately be in the finals

So... see you there! I hope...

 Curse deadlines.

Niotex wrote:Sorry felt kind of bland and stale. Didn't capture the feel of the song at all. Not to mention the story portrayed in the video is a mere random collection of literal sync as apposed to a continuation. But that's just my opinion, I could have just missed what you were getting at.

That's alright, I kinda guessed some people might not be able to grasp the concept I had in mind. I mean it's blindly obvious to me because I edited it and so I can see where it's going but if it's not clear to you...then ah well that would be my fault :( Thanks for checking it out anyway.

Niwa wrote:Nicely done slave! I mean secretary!

Like I mentioned before, you've made a big improvement during these last few months, and I'm satisfied of the results! Theres no time to celebrate quite yet, theres more work to do :3 trash

Keep it up

Thankies Boss. Although your comment would have so much more pleasant if you would just take out the word trash....because it's not nice to say that about yourself.:asd:

Sennin wrote:That was enjoyable to watch.
Though, it had some moments were it was so so, but still a solid piece.

Dino thanks you for the nice comment. :dino:

Personally this is one of the best, if not the best, AMV using Durarara!! I've seen.
Pretty much all I've seen using this anime have been disappointing and while I love the show,
it wasn't one I thought would be editable, so this is a breath of fresh air.

Anyway the video looks great, I like the changes from the one you sent in, mainly around 1:07-1:28.

4/5 :)

Also will be adding to my PSP so I have something to watch when I'm being dragged around for Black Friday shopping

Thanks! I was really happy when I got the notice about Across and when you sent me the recording. :awesome: It's really awesome seeing your video being played on a big screen in front of other people. :asd:

You're definitely right about it being difficult to edit with. I had huge problems when I first started because while I thought the anime was action, there wasn't many action scenes in it 8| which made keeping the pacing fast with the song quite difficult.

Kawatta-kun wrote:A durara amv which does not only include the usual two characters, finally!!
The action was good enough, and liked the clip choice ^^ even tho i haven't yet seen the show (dunno if will...)
Aproved, sensei! ^^

Oh and btw, one of the most awesomes banners i've ever seen! : )

I wonder who the usual two characters are.....:uhoh:

AND YOU WILL WATCH THIS SHOW. I DEMAND THAT YOU DO. OR FACE THE WRATH OF MY EVIL-NESS. trust me, you don't want to go there.....

Code hates black fades. But thankies :D Glad you liked it! And yeah DRRR is pretty static, I had no idea until I actually started editing and then I was thinking, "WHERE ARE ALL THE GOOD ACTION SCENES?! D:"

Anyways thanks for being a beta-tester. I know how horrid the first beta was. :asd: Hope it didn't traumatize you too much back then.

From all the Durara amvs I have watched, this one got a different concept. Liked it

Deadline for having the video properly done is 1 Dec. And sorry to break it to you, but I do have a life.

I actually slightly missread your post anyhow, so no worries about it.
It's not so much "there's much to do", it's just designing the effects and such that's taking some time. :?

That was a very quick answer

Well I understand you, For an amv I will be finishing by december 20, the effects are the troublesome part.

the ending says to me "when a black guy punches you in the face, it's all over"

well, turned out nicely compared to the betas, still a few timing issues i felt like but all in all it was enjoyable...

AND THAT BANNER IS SO FREAKIN COOL!
