Change AMV title?

Postby StarMasayume » Fri Oct 15, 2010 12:22 am

Just realized an error in an AMV title I uploaded (It ended up as "Teacher me, Onizuka!" instead of "Teach me, Onizuka!"

I went to try and edit it but it didn't seem to be an editable field. I looked in the link at the bottom thinking I could request it if it was locked, but it only had options for premiere date, music, or audio. Can I still change the title myself or do I have to request the change somewhere?

Thanks!

Unfortunately the title isn't something that can be changed with anything short of manually editing the entry in the database. I believe the only one who can do that right now is derobert, but he isn't around all that much.

It'd be quicker for you to make a new entry with the correct title, reupload and then request a deletion of the old entry...but then you'd lose star ratings, ops and other stats.

I'll try to track derobert down for you, but can't really say when I'll actually catch him.

Thank you both! :)

I'm only sorry I didn't notice it sooner. Do you have a week or a certain period of time to change the title?

Nope, as soon as you go on to step 2 of the video information the title is locked

Can you please change the title of my AMV from The Blossoming Rose to The Rose of the Leaf? When I uploaded it I forgot the change the title, and I want it to be the correct title.

Thanks

That's not entirely true. I was able to edit the title of within 24 hours of entering it by returning to the Edit Video Info page. I'm not sure how long it remains editable though.

As long as the day premiered isn't over you can edit it, iirc - so if it's "today", then at most cca. 24 hours

I think it bases it off of Date Available, because Blame it on 2009's premiere date was in September (i.e., well over 2 hours ago).
