The fact that we all have lives outside of this hobby has nothing to do with it? The fact that some of us are still in college means nothing? Let alone those of us struggling to stay ahead in the current economy?

WoW? REALLY?

Maybe, but considering the whole 'WoW is eating AMV editors' meme from 3 years ago...

Yes, that 'eating' thing was hyperbole.

Me? I have zero interest in games like that, never did. Doesn't change the fact that my editing has dropped off significantly because my computer is too damn old and there is a limit to how patient one can be.

Video games are the secret weapon of the Music and Movie industry.. If they hook us all on thier games then we will not have time to rip music/video and make AMVs.. Problem solved :evil:

Intresting how Starcraft II came out just at the start of editing season :shock:

Eh, my most productive editing period was while I was working and going through emotional hell in High School. Editing acted as a stress reliever. So the moral of this story is - if you get a job, get a crappy one that you hate if you don't want your editing to suffer. Bonus points for being lovesick.

FF14 will consume more poor editing souls. Maybe even mine...
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I will never ever play Wow and will stay forever. Not sure if anybody wants that =D

@macchinainterna:
It's not only WoW, but there are a lot of well known names that stopped making amvs because they started Wow. It's true!
