DBZ is not a challenge to anybody; that's why most newbe's pick it.

The first video starts with a strobing background which influences the Alpha Channeled video on top of it.
It continues with a white-wash background and some very sloppy mixxing and matching of scene's.

The second video starts with a picture in the background and a circled map in Alpha Channel for whats on top of it.

In both videos, to make it look like something new might be happening,
the Alpha Channel pictures are flashing too fast for your eyes
to catch the simple illusion of very poor editing practices.
( of which, there were too many to count! )

That's everything in a nut-shell; as you requested. 8-)

The DBZ one I would do in Sony Vegas with a simple oval mask, blurred out 5-20 maybe, put the background track under it.

Post-it - what do you mean DBZ is not a challenge? (confused)
