Question - UPLOAD WAIVER

Postby Creative Name » Mon Aug 23, 2010 9:39 pm

Greetings again!

I could not find a home for this question so here is where I am now.

I think I submitted a request for a waiver to upload an AMV over 100MB. I say I think because I clicked the box that said to do that, but nothing happened. Then, I clicked it a few more times just to be sure. A few weeks have passed, and I am just not sure if there is a way to check if my request had been submitted. I am aware that the process can take a few months, but if you are not receiving my request, then it will never get addressed.

If it has been received, sorry for all the duplicate requests

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Unfortunately, large upload requests fall under the realm of admins...so there's not too much I can do myself here.

Before you do try to get a hold of GQ or dokidoki though...
how long is the video?
what resolution is your video at?
did you compress the audio?
how are you encoding your video? and what size does it turn out to be?

I've been following the guides for everything, and whenever I get stuck, I find myself in these situations asking questions

Ah, I did not think that this would be a site specific question. Maybe I should take my question to the upload AMVs thread that's hiding in there...

Well, I already filled out the lengthy epic form and hit submit. I'm just not sure where it's sitting. I could c/p what I wrote and PM it to you and see if maybe you can help me.

Kariudo is trying to figure out if you really have a legitimate reason to have the exception (extremely long file at a high resolution) or you're just failing at compression.
