So did I, as well as NGSilver, Illeia and Brad. One of the best collaborative efforts IMO.

Hey now, don't forget me. I did those 5 frames at the end there. I slaved for hours on them.

I can't speak for this "Illeia", but I sure as hell had no part of it.

I concur. Where was my magical touch in that? I don't remember even one frame of my part in that video. It was awesome. There was a dance routine and some great choreography. Was my awesomeness just not GOOD ENOUGH for this video? Hmm???

top videos for me,

Apple tree
The live action one with the three guys
The Godzilla one
The Cat shit one one (georgeous, and serious if you can get past the fact that they are bunnies)
The clap
The basquash one
The Aerosmith Sleeping with hinako one.

though I'm not sure which videos go in which category.

Rest of my notes:

21 - Great editing and storytelling. No frills, but it didn't need any. 4/5
22 - Initially I was like "What the hell?" Then it got okay, then I realized there were waaaayyy too many black fades. Okay overall, kinda cool just for the novelty of its source material. 3.5/5
23 - Incorrect aspect ratio bothered me. Video itself was ineffectual, it just bored me. 1.5/5
24 - Great concept, great editing, and some really fantastic internal sync. Only complaint I have is that the instrumental portion of the video got a little off-topic and random. 4/5
25 - Uninteresting editing, too many crossfades, too much lip flap. 1.5/5
26 - The song's gimmick didn't come through in the video, so it did nothing for me. 1.5/5
27 - The only thing this video did for me was to confirm that I need to see these Eva remakes ASAP. Just because you use a new version of Eva and a different metal song doesn't mean this exact video hasn't been made a thousand times before. 2/5
28 - Really? You could have put ANYthing to that audio and claimed it "fit". 0.5/5
29 - Not terrible. I like the black humor aspect, some of the scenes felt a little off though. Not a whole lot of editing either, save for a few spots. 2.5/5
30 - In a video that relies so heavily on text, the text needs to be made a part of the video, not just subtitled in. Had so much potential, but the utterly static and boring presentation of the text completely ruined it. 1.5/5
31 - Best video in the contest so far, and I doubt it'll be topped. Most original use of effects I've seen in a looooong time, and the video wasn't overloaded with 'em. Beat-perfect editing and impeccable scene selection. As close to flawless as this contest has gotten. 5/5
32 - Nothing about this video was really bad or anything, it's just nothing was all that great either. It floats in the limbo of mediocrity. 3/5
33 - This one wins for emotional impact and storytelling. Some of the scenes went on for too long, and I'm not sure how I feel about how the editor handled the ending, but overall a very good video. 4/5
34 - The best of these goddamn Sleeping With Hinako videos, though still aggravating to sit through. 2.5/5
35 - If this was supposed to be amusing, it wasn't. 1/5
36 - Mixing drama and stupid Internet memes never really works. 1/5
37 - Sleep-inducing. Good at parts but utterly unsurprising. 1.5/5
38 - Everything about this video was just sloppy. 1/5
39 - Edited well but had no substance whatsoever. I could close my eyes and spit and hit a video like this on the .org. 2/5
40 - How did such a stupid, static anime manage to get four entries into this year's Pro contest? The joke is old and unfunny by now, but truthfully it was never really new and funny. 0.5/5
41 - Not really a good joke, and a pretty uninteresting video. 1/5
42 - Unfunny AMV Hell ripoff. 1/5
43 - Editing didn't really work in this video. 1.5/5
44 - Didn't work as a comedy, and below-average editing kept it from being good action. 1/5
45 - Good editing, appropriate level of weird. I just really liked something about this video. 3.5/5
46 - Despite having a good song, cool-looking anime, and being well-edited, I just couldn't get into it. 2.5/5
47 - Good editing and great presentation of the concept. 3.5/5
48 - Haven't I seen this video before? Or...no, I'm thinking of that one Karas video. Or is it that OTHER Karas video I'm thinking of...? 1.5/5
49 - Okay use of effects, but too many of them felt stock and cheesy. Nothing else about the video really grabbed me. 2/5
50 - If this is a comedy video, it fails. If it's action, the very notion of using Godzilla films is too stupid to take seriously. 1/5
51 - Ugh. Just kinda dumb. 1.5/5
52 - Mediocre all-around. Some of the visual puns were okay, others just looked really cruddy. 2.5/5
53 - Original and effective, but kind of boring to have to sit through. 2.5/5
54 - Liked the joke, but some of the scene selection was just ehhhh, and most of those box effects were atrocious. 2.5/5
55 - Oh goody, those various-animes-set-to-electronic-music videos we all love so much have finally gone live action, and just when I thought that trend was on its way out too! Also, the text in the corner constantly reminding me what the name of the track was royally pissed me off. 2.5/5

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot in my own write-up for this one:

Why did the text keep randomly going in and out? Was there any rhyme or reason whatsoever to when the text was on screen and when it wasn't?

Well, now that it's on final voting, anyone with comments?

Personally I thought it was fairly decent. A lot of the categories I just thought there weren't any vids good enough to be worth winning, but I can't honestly say there were better vids than the ones that made it into those categories. Most Artistic was kinda a what the hell though. One entry was made, mostly, well nevermind since it's blind judging and all that but it was made for a far more utilitarian reason than to be artistic. Another was a blatant parody. The third was pretty much the opposite of artistic. Tinnitus in best horror actually made me laugh. And I'm kinda surprised The Clap isn't in best overall, but at least there are good vids in that.

I think the category I'll have most trouble deciding will be upbeat. If anything I'm glad most categories only have three vids, makes it easier to pick and less vids to split the vote :P

Maybe people didn't realize that was the title and were voting for none of the above videos to get best in show.
