edit: Also notice that angelyco's got my lowest score of 42, because I thought it was just bad, I think she deserved the elemination this round far more then you.

Strangely, I'm not offended by that at all. I really disliked this round's theme and had NO motivation to do it, so in the end I just picked something I thought I could work with and edited to it. I would have rather at least submitted something, fully knowing I might be eliminated, than just dropped.

Oh, and because there seems to be [AHHH, MY PM BOX] some resentment regarding scores, please send me a pm if you'd like a detailed analysis/breakdown. Nya, I already sent you yours from mine.

I'll leave it up to the other judges to answer their own reasons for their scores.

You people get offended (or not) even though most of you know you only spent like the last minute of time allowed editing these, or didn't really feel good about the theme... That's the thing, of course you have disadvantages so these videos aren't gonna be what you want them to be. And I suppose I could use nicer words...but it doesn't really matter. This competition setting doesn't fully say what we think about one's talents as an editor as a whole. it really only speaks to your flexibility.... wtf, I'm really tired. Whatever, idk what I'm trying to say. But yah, I'm still really surprised angelyco got higer scores then nya sorry, and I only like JUST realize which video ange's was, so I'm still kinda surprised.

And to address a comment I keep getting about how I just edited the music to the source and didn't reinvent it at all...

Spoiler :
Let's consider what happened in the video:

-Added a double rainbow in the sky, like the original video, for characters to see and comment on.
-But unlike in the original video, I had the double rainbow join with the angel as seen here:

-They fight the double rainbow angel, also unlike the original video, yet still contains the "double rainbow" element.

If I had just repeated the opening "introduction" of the double rainbow for the whole video, THEN it would've been "just editing to the music and not reinventing." I'm okay with not being the top scorer this round (it's all coo as long as I wasn't DQ'd D:), but to those saying that I didn't follow the theme at all, I say bullshit.

If your last day is being with the one that you love, then we should feel some romance feeling from it. If your last day is murdering everybody in sight, we should be able to feel the insanity.ast day to do everything they wanted to do in life, having as much fun as possible. I think you accidentally part of your post. Regardless, it confirms that achieving the reaction I want will get me the points I need.

Oh, and to answer a question that Ileia and Lantis seem to have brought up, Live Action footage is fine.

Code, you listed the round 4 results as round 5 results, and there isn't a link to the beginning of round 5.

It was a tough round in all regards, so let us move along. I have a great deal of respect all of the people who at least tried this round, and didn't give up without a fight. You should be happy Code is not using this theme next time .... we all can be, that is. =)

Memes' round was the best one, as far as theme went. Also, I probably missed the light in nya's vid, as we could say Shinkai AMVs are a meme in and out of themselves... :asd:

Anyway, sorry for how it ended, nya. I know I had my reasons to vote like I did, I probably didn't explain them well to you over IRC, but oh well.
Now, I'll echo JH, let's move along... although, as I already said, I'm not sure I'll be able to judge this one time. :uhoh:

I shall be editing a video for this round despite my DQ. Aka, Im already working on a video that would work for this theme so I'll totally post it in here for shits and giggles and to be declared winner of a contest I am no longer a part of.
